Our diverse menu includes steak and seafood favorites as well as our signature Prime Rib of Beef available Thursday, Friday & Saturday evenings.     Both Chilean Sea Bass and Ribeye main courses were excellent. One of the best servers we have experienced in recent years. A gem in Mt. Vernon.

    We absolutely love this place, it’s a hidden gem.. my wife and I come and 1 hr in half.. I was so disappointed I had bad service this time.. we normally have outstanding service..

    The menu is broad, from appetizers to dessert, well-executed and nicely served. One must travel far and wide to find the likes of bacon-wrapped stuffed dates or Oysters Rockefeller for appetizers. Entrees offered included among several others, hanger steak, sea bass, and rack-of-lamb. Our waiter recommended a mocha-mousse cake with salted crust for dessert that was truly exceptional. The restaurant's quiet, elegant, ambience brings to mind the experience common to fine restaurants in the late 1940s and 1950s.

    I want to thank you for a wonderful 1st experience at The Alcove. Our server Ben was great and the manager made it a priority to stop at our table to see how we enjoyed our evening. He even escorted us on a quick tour of the building. I have to say my meal, Salmon Oscar, was probably one of the best variations of a salmon dish that I have had. Superb! The restaurant itself is just beautiful and we will most certainly return and recommend to friends who may visit the area.

    First time dining at the Alcove and it was spectacular. Comparable to other high end steak houses, but for a much better value. Service, food and atmosphere were all incredible. We have found a new special occasion restaurant!

    The Alcove offers a fantastic dining experience. I've been twice now for my anniversary, and each time had been perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants the best Ohio has to offer.
