The ambiance is perfect for a business meeting. My colleagues enjoyed their meals. I had the Ceasar salad with salmon. It was perfectly dressed and the salmon was tasty.

We were a group of 6 that tries new restaurants monthly. This is the first time we have been disappointed in our restaurant choice. The service was excellent and great atmosphere but the quality of food was not what we expected for the price. All 6 of us were disappointed in our meals. Onion soup was too salty. Steak ordered by one of us was too rare. Wedge and Caesar Salads were okay but average taste and some brown edges. Maybe just an off night based on prior reviews but we felt it was overpriced for the value and not a repeat for any of us.

Rose Mary and I had a terrific time at the American Reserve. Our waitress was very attentive without being intrusive and met our every need and request with promptness and politeness. The cocktails, wine, and digestif were terrific, and the entertainment (a trio with vocals, keyboard, and drums) was great and great fun.

American Reserve is a great experience that is topped only by the Reno Club downstairs. Great service, bar selections and menu , top to bottom this restaurant located in the Ambassador Hotel is a hidden gem in Kansas City. It will not disappoint.

Service was too keen and food came too quickly and plates were not removed. Hostess was inexperienced and getting a good table was difficult Otherwise food was good

Service was amazing, but lobster was very tough and chewy on all of our lobster benedicts. The hollandaise sauce was curdled and didn’t have a lot of flavor.
