Very very good. Particularly - the service was brilliant. Lovely staff, very friendly, welcoming, efficient and not at all pushy for the table. (Bev and one other excellent colleague who served us) Food excellent. Slightly higher price than ideal but it’s a lovely place and that comes at a price Highly recommended - thank you The Landing

I went to the Landing with a friend to celebrate my 60th birthday. I thought I'd booked to have an afternoon tea, unfortunately I hadn't. They were however, most accommodating, as even though they had me booked in for a meal, they provided the afternoon tea I was expecting. Thank you too the staff for being so helpful.

Needed somewhere local so The Landings was the perfect choice. Very quiet but we had a very nice time. Staff were very helpful. Will definitely go back, possibly for lunch or dinner as the menu looked quite nice

The food quality and presentation was excellent- Carrot and Ginger soup was spectacular, Chicken Shish main very good and Rhubarb Frangipan tartlets for desert was just the right size to finish. Very good value for money. I've paid a lot more for a lot worse!! A couple of minor things - front of house staff need to know basics such as what the soup of the day is before service begins and the bar had run out of draught cider which was a small disappointment to one of the party. As I say, minor issues that I'm sure can easily be addressed and we're outweighed by the lovely personalities of the staff.

Booking for 12pm, but we arrived early. They said they don't start serving until 12pm, we said that's fine and they took orders for drinks. The food took quite a while to turn up, but it was lovely, tasted very fresh. Cooked well. They forgot asparagus came with meal, but it came quickly afterwards. They apologised and said it was a new menu, which was fine. Rest of meal was lovely. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

We had a very good experience on previous occasion but sadly this time it was very disappointing. Service not good. Waiter asked if we wished the desert menu whilst taking our first course dish. Order was delivered wrong. Ordered a drink and then was asked a second time. Food very much below par. Lasagne was clearly re heated and hard. Chilli tasted like chewing gum and dry. Burger wasn’t much better. Desert dishes were on the same level. To top everything a 15% tip was added to final bill. We would not make a recommendation nor will we be another reservation. So disappointing!!!!

Lovely hotel. Afternoon tea was nice but I would say a little expensive! Good experience had though and good friendly service from the restaurant/bar staff. Thanks.

Mother’s Day booking with my wife 4yr old and 3 yr old. Booked table by window, for 10am. Restaurant empty when I arrived told they can’t give window as restaurant fully booked. Fair, all good, not going to make a fuss. Even though we saw a window seat was set up with a high chair. Left restaurant at 11am, still empty barring one table wasn’t given window seat. Frustrating . My wife wasn’t offered the welcome Prosecco as part of the Mother’s Day promotion so we had to request. Table arrived after us all offered as they were seated. Eggs Benedict was overcooked, when fed back to the manager was sarcastically responded that we should have asked for them runny. Really? New one received, undercooked but didn’t say anything as could feel the manager wasn’t happy in the first place. Three breakfast and a coffee and a few juices. £60. Wouldn’t recommend.
