   The ambience was awful as there was only one our guest The menu had been reduced to a limited menu and the food was very bland The starters were ok I had Brie and husband had haggis bslls …. Definately shop bought though My husband had Turkey and I felt it was like artificial meat … like the old style Bernard Mathew turkey roll I had lamb shank which was on top of a mound of potato and peas… like it had been thrown on the plate The waitress was very chatty / pleasant/ attentive

   Visited (pre-booked) on Sunday (22nd) evening at 7.00 and ate from Festive Menu. Good choice and a couple of specials on the board as well. Two of us started with the seafood platter which had generous portions of different seafood. Might have benefited from a Marie rose sauce to add some moisture. Our daughter enjoyed the breaded brie. We all had the turkey main course which had a good helping of turkey, potatoes, veg and trimmings. And we all finished with the Jammie Dodger blondie - tasty! Good selection of drinks available. Only slight downside was that it was so quiet - only one other table occupied! Overall a good experience. We've been before - and we'll be back.

   Second visit here and they were awesome again. The staff maintain high standards with a smile, the food was tasty and plentiful; what more could you ask for?

   Staff attentive and willing to assist when required. All had a natural smile on their faces which indicated a happy staff.

   We attended for a birthday meal - when we tried to order, they did not have the gluten free option that one of our guests wanted to order, and so the waitress went to get the specific gluten free menu (which we did not know existed as no one asked about allergies when we arrived). We then waited ages for someone to come back and take our order despite there being only 5 other people in the restaurant. When they did, it transpired that actually there were loads of main courses not available, but we only found this out when asking for each one; no one gave us a list or indication before we ordered. After realising there was no suitable option for our gluten free guest and no option that another guest wanted to eat, we decided to leave. We were still charged full price for our drinks and no one came to speak to us when we told the waitress we were leaving. Very disappointed in the experience as we were hoping this would be a good place to revisit in future but unfortunately will not be back.

   Booked for daughter's birthday (her choice). First time we've been since new owners and it was perfect. Food was delicious and steaks perfectly cooked, large portions, great service. We appreciated not being rushed and the 80's / 90's sounds!

   This was our first time at The Battlefield Restaurant. We will definitely be back when next up in Inverness when we come up to visit family. The staff were very attentive, and friendly, the food was delicious. My mother in law had the scallops to start and said they were delicious I had the breaded cheese and that was fantastic, hubby had the haggis bon bon which he loved then the mains arrived and as with the starters they were amazing, steak was cooked to perfection, can’t wait to visit again 😊

    From being greeted at the door till leaving after dinner the staff were very very pleasant and friendly. Food was very nice and a cracking pint of tennents. Only thing I would add is maybe add a gluten free meal to the Sunday menu as my wife doesn't really do roasts and had to have a salad.. First time back here after re opening and we will come back. Thanks to the staff again..
