The “under $30” entree description is not entirely true. While the items are around this price, the key detail is that this is a tapas menu - small portions to share where each guest likely orders 3-4 of these items. We had a great time and split 5 items with 4 drinks and spent over $200. Great food, great service, nice ambiance nice experience, but deserves a $$$ rating to be fair.

Brought friends from out of town for the tasting menu. They were able to accommodate both a gluten intolerance and nut allergy without compromising the experience. It’s the right kind of dinner-and-a-show.

Bazaar at the Waldorf Astoria DC is spectacular! Incredible food, stunning ambiance, and flawless service. The sommelier was spot on—chose the best Tempranillo under $300. A true culinary gem!

Cha Cha was a wonderful server, overall elevated the experience with her knowledge and professionalism of the menu and service. The menu was intriguing and looked amazing that you wanted to try everything. My cocktail was delicious and felt priced well, value to cost. My guest had a glass of wine, Chardonnay from CA $29 was a bit steep. But such is life at the Waldorf. The food, it was quite unfortunate with the actual flavors of the dishes themselves. Presentation was beautiful, emaculate really, and pleasing to the eye. All photo worthy. But, the flavors lacked, flat and quite bad in some cases. One in particular really stood out as one to skip, it was the Maryland Blue Crab Ensaladila. This was crab potato salad. An expensive crab potato salad, listed under the seafood list, should've been listed as a side, or not at all. Notable, or fun was the Cotton Candy Foie Gras, enjoyed this. Other notable was the Baby Japanese Peaches, it was delightful and unexpected. The Dragon Fruit Ceviche presentation was beautiful but flavor was left to be desired. Conch Fritters, meh, the caramelized sauce was odd, bonito flakes only highlight. Squishy and uneventful. The Creamy Coconut Rice - hmmm. That was just not right. It was sweet and uneventful and just bad. The puffed rice and bits of miniature pieces of fish drizzled with squid ink. Couldn't fathom getting dessert. Highlights were Cha Cha and the ambiance.

We ate at a 3 star Michelin restaurant a few days before eating at The Bazaar in Washington DC. This place deserves 3 stars as well. Don't know why it doesn't have the distinction already. The food quality, creativity, variety, and service, including the sommelier and wine flight, was every bit as good at the last two Michelin 3-star restaurants we enjoyed. Fabulous 4 hour dinner! Go all out for the full experience. You won't be disappointed.
