   They ran out of the steak by the time we got to order and that's what we came for. So we had to have the fish. And it wasn't very flavorful. Not enough potatoes on the side for 2 people. And the oysters had sand and oyster shells in them. Our server was very lovely. And the service from one plate to the next was on point. No dirty plates were left on the table for to long. The drinks were very expensive. But good.

   We enjoyed a fabulous Valentine’s dinner at The Bear The Fish The Root and The Berry. The service was excellent and the food superb. We hadn’t been out for a fancy dinner for some time and were quite shocked at the final bill. It was the only part of the meal that was hard to swallow;-)

   My wife and I went for the Valentine's Day dinner special, and it was very, very well done. To start the evening, I had a Negroni and my wife had the Lavender Martini, and just before the meal was served, we ordered two glasses of Intersection Merlot. All of the drinks were perfect. I wish the appetizer platter was available year-round because it was spectacular. We shared the duck breast/duck leg and the amount of food was just right. The molten chocolate cake really was the topper on the meal. Inga was a very attentive and pleasant server, she added a lot to the evening. The only constructive comment I will offer is that it was very expensive, so it is a good thing the food quality and presentation was a 10/10! We look forward to coming back.

   Enjoyed the best dirty martini to start. Followed by 2 very enjoyable meals. The soup was fantastic as was the vegan option called Dirt Candy.

   First off, I want to say the food here was absolutely delicious! I ordered the Pacific lingcod, and my wife had the steak frites—both were fantastic. However, the overall experience had its ups and downs. The wait time was quite long, and being seated between two parties made it difficult to hear my partner across the table. That said, once our meals arrived, they were definitely worth the wait! After our plates were cleared, we waited for the dessert menu, but when our waitress returned, she asked if we wanted the bill instead. It felt rushed since we were looking forward to dessert. Once we got the menu, she only took my wife’s order and was about to leave, likely assuming we were done. She seemed to be the only one actively working, so I understand she was busy, but the service felt a bit hurried. That said, we did get our desserts, and they were absolutely delicious—especially the pumpkin pie cube! Overall, while the food was amazing, the service felt a bit rushed and disorganized. Hopefully, it was just an off night because the quality of the food definitely makes this place worth visiting! That said for the price I wish we would have had better service.

   The Indigenous cuisine was tasty, cooked properly, and plated beautifully. Food elements on the plate added different textures and taste. However portions are quite small. Four person dining table was compact lacking space, looked cheap & worn, and our table was extremely wobbly as well. In summary, one would think for a high end restaurant they would at least provide better quality seating or at least cover the tables and provide more quantity of food for the elevated prices.

   The meal was delightful as was the wine and the service provided by Erin! It was my birthday and they kindly made a delicious pavlova for 2 with berries for my husband and I to share, they even popped a candle on it too. Would definitely recommend eating here!
