    The Belgian arms has possibly the best roast in the area! It is a more expensive roast but well worth the money! The £7 supplement for the striploin was worth it. Food was good all round. Service was good as well.

    Pork belly roast and mushroom wellington roast. Every mouthful was absolutely delicious. Perfect roast potatoes. Fabulous gravy. Friendly service.

    Superb food and very lovely staff. Perfect for a quick meal midweek or a full night out. Always a great night at the Belgian Arms.

    What a great little pub! A real hidden gem. Food, service and ambience were all excellent. We were very impressed with the quality of the Sunday roast. This may even become our go-to place in future.

    Nice atmosphere and warm service. Food was underwhelming: risotto had good seasoning but was mushy, cooked too long with the rice completely broken down. Halibut with mussel and beans bouillabase tasted nice but a very small piece of fish, only a couple of mussels and sauce was very thin with the presentation lacking for a £28 dish. Fish and chips was cooked well and seasoned nicely.

    A nice pub, good atmosphere and lovely service but it’s trying to do food it doesn’t seem able to live up to. I had mackerel cerviche which was like leather and then cod Kiev (£29!) which was dry and bitter - not nice. The fish and chips, beef and ale pie and burger were all very good. Stick to the ‘pub classics’ like these and you’ll have a nice time at a decent price!

    The Belgian Arms never disappoints. Fantastic meal, wonderful service and nice ambience. It was very busy in the restaurant but the service was first class. Drinks were served quickly, food was brought to the table just when we were ready for it and we had plenty of time to talk and enjoy the pre-Christmas meal. This wasn’t my first meal at the Belgian Arms and won’t be the last.
