From the OpenTable editors: Top Chef star Jamie Tran leans on her Vietnamese roots at this upscale restaurant that Eater Vegas named restaurant of the year when it opened in 2017. That means you'll find dishes like imperial rolls stuffed with duroc pork and shrimp and sautéed glass noodles in a spicy gochujang sauce all served in a spacious, industrial-chic dining room adorned with exposed lights and plenty of mirrors on the walls.                                         An overall pleasurable experience. The pear salad and scallion rice cake was excellent. The entree portions are also generous. For some reasons the kimchi fried rice that came with an entree was mildly cold, but I didn’t really care because it was still delicious. I personally feel the food did not feel like Vietnamese fusion, but it didn’t mean it wasn’t delicious. Try to sit on the side tables since the glare from cars shining into the restaurant can become a nuisance in the evening.

                                        About the only disappointment here, was not being able to met chef Tran, as she was absent from the restaurant that evening. Otherwise, the service was great and the food and drinks were creative and delicious. It is a bit of a drive or a somewhat expensive cab/Uber to this eatery, but, based on our time there, it will be well worth your effort.

                                        The food was uniquely delicious. Not sure of anywhere else we could’ve gone to have such wonderfully highlighted Vietnamese flavors.

                                        Intriguing, interesting, different and a unique and imaginary plate presentation. We saw a U-Tube report on the Owner-Chef and the restaurant itself. We had to try it. We sampled 3 appetizers: Imperial Rolls, Steak Tartare and the Hamachi. All freshly made and tasty. Definitely Asian Fusion with contemporary American. The unique plates are difficult to describe for this traditional diner! Our two Entrees; a Duck Confit Special and the Slow Braised Short Ribs. Both excellent. For a wonderful meal and a very different food style the Black Sheep is perfect.
