                                                                                                                I like to support local businesses. This was my first and last time at Blackbird Abbey. I ordered the steak firites , it was good but over salted, potatoes were over cooked and the kale was very tough . Nothing like the photo on the web page. They accept credit cards but charge an extra fee. I didn’t find this out until presented will the bill. Nowhere is that stated, if I had known I would have brought cash. It’s a small thing but it angered me.

                                                                                                                A wonderful new restaurant in Whittier! The Mac and cheese was decadent, the Brussels sprouts were crispy and savory, the drinks were great and the steak frittes were so satisfying. We ended with a delightful cheesecake for dessert. We will definitely be returning soon.

                                                                                                                Valentine dinner date night - staff was busy and at times overwhelmed but they made up for it in spades. Food / wine was excellent which made up for the small service delays. Staff was attentive and the heavy handed wine pour didn’t hurt at all
