The Blue Ball team offer a warm welcome to one and all at the Blue Ball Inn, a fine turn of the 17th Century thatched pub and restaurant with accommodation in Sandygate on the edge of Exeter Devon.

Considered to be one of the prettiest pubs in the area, the Blue Ball Inn is the ideal location should you wish to visit us for a glass of wine, a pint of traditional real ale, a tasty bar snack or an enjoyable lunch or evening meal in our delightful restaurant. Inside, you will find a relaxed ambiance full of style and comfort with its cosy interior. During the cooler months the real log-burning fire creates a lovely atmosphere whilst in warmer months you can sit outside in our beer garden which enhances this charming restaurant and pub watering hole.

Our head chef takes real pleasure in cooking culinary delights and delicacies using Devon's finest produce that always reflects the season of the year.

    The servers were terrific. They had a table of 30 in and our food took over an hour to arrive. As it was an annual get together it wasn’t a problem for us as we had plenty to talk about! The serving staff kept us informed and were very apologetic.

    Excellent quality food and friendly, speedy service despite it being 'Christmas party time' so pub was very busy. We've been many times and will definitely be back!

    All the food was fab! Most of all the staff were amazing and hats off to Natalie in particular! Best place by far to enjoy time before the rugby. Everyone went above and beyond and on such a busy day. Could not fault a thing x thank you 🙏

    The service was excellent. They helped us moved tables as we were near the kitchen and noisy coffee maker plus there were large Xmas parties due. The food was delicious and with just the right timing between courses. The pub had a nice xmassy atmosphere too. The only slight down was that my partner had the soup and it was quite small. Otherwise all good.

    When we arrived, the pub was already full with a wake. This did not affect the speed of service we received. The staff are excellent and the food was really tasty. This is the second time we've had our 'ladies that lunch' Christmas get together and we wouldn't go anywhere else ❤️ ♥️

    Yet another amazing meal at The Blue Ball. So excited to see the new refurb and the conservatory - really nice! Atmosphere was really cosy and food amazing as always. Sarah and Neil.
