Situated on our very own island, we’re very fortunate to benefit from Maidenhead’s finest al fresco dining and drinking spot, where everyone is welcome.

Eat, drink and indulge, from classic gastropub favourites to modern, healthy dishes – and weekend blow-outs from our chefs’ specials that make an occasion memorable.

True hospitality is about making you feel you’re at home away from home. We cherish our regulars, but are just as welcoming to first time visitors, so if this is your local, don’t be shy in recommending us to your friends. We’ll give them a peachy welcome too!

Back here for dinner after quite a while with my wife, my son and my sister in law. We’ve all been extremely happy with our choices and we spotted other starters and mains we’d like to try soon. The menu has significantly improved although the management is the same since about 5 years ago, and quality is back to the heydays of about 10 years ago.

Fantastic spot on the River Thames with a wide variety of seating areas indoors, outdoors for adults only, families and those with (well-behaved) pets. Food was generous in portions size and flavour and staff were very polite friendly and efficient. We have already recommended it to 3 other sets of friends and we will definitely be back again!

Top notch experience start to finish with a very enjoyable middle. Warmly welcomed by manager and shown to reserved table. They had placed us at the table we had previously really liked which was a lovely understated touch of the trouble and level of care they put in to the service. Competently looked after at table by Ben who was friendly and well up on the menu and choice dishes of the day. For starters we shared the goat’s cheese mousse and green pea salad along with the courgette fritters; both looked attractive, were creative, and light & delicious in texture and taste. Mains were had haddock and chips x2. Huge portions of expertly cooked fish in a light and crisp batter; gastro pub-style chunky chips that were amazing along with fresh garden peas and a giant slice of lemon to flavour. No room for puddings!! Coffee and Smarties as is their signature accompaniment rounded off a splendid lunch. Looking forward to the next one. Thanks Team TBH ☺️

This was first at The Boathouse Restaurant in Maidenhead. We were all really impressed with the food and service.The setting is beautiful too. Already planning a return visit.

We had a lovely lunch. The staff as always were so friendly and the food was delicious. My only feedback would be to sort out the ladies loos. They were dirty and overrunning with loo paper everywhere. The loo seat in the cubicle I used was wonky and in need of repair. for such a lovely venue, this really lets it down. The restaurant was really busy and I appreciate there would have been a lot of traffic in and out of the loos, but it’s a real let down and doesn’t keep with the rest of how good the place is. Thanks.

All round fairly good apart from the service which poor. It took forever to get our “Sunday Roast” main courses. The table of 8 next to us, who arrived after us, had almost finished their mains before ours eventually turned up. Was told it was because we had ordered a starter. Nonsense. We ordered “nibbles” - to have with our drinks - two little pots of sausages.

Beautiful setting overlooking the River Thames at Boulters Lock. Service was extremely professional and on arrival this made an excellent impression. Our table for 2 was next to the verandah overlooking the river so the view was superb. The menu was very good and they had a lovely specials menu. My wife had the cod in a curried potato and spinach sauce and I had the steak Diane - both of which were delicious, well presented and decent size portions. I had the aubergine for starters which was also very good. We had a lovely bottle of wine with the meal and the total bill was under £100. We are already planning our next visit. (PS Car parking is not great at the restaurant itself with only a few spaces available so you will need to drop off and then park the car in the nearby Boulders Lock car park which is a 5 min walk away).
