Our patio tables are some of the most coveted seats in town, with the chance to take in an expansive waterfront view while enjoying selections from our menu of contemporary seafood classics. Traditionally we have not guaranteed seating, but now through OpenTable Experiences, we are able to set aside a few of our best tables each night. The $5/pp fee reserves seating at one of these tables. In the event of inclement weather, your reservation fee is transferable to another available date. Reservation fee is non-refundable.

i reserved an outside table for valentine’s day weekend not knowing there was going to be a downpour. i called the day of my reservation and the host was able to find a table indoors for us. all the staff was super friendly, the restaurant was gorgeous, and even though it was cloudy and raining, the view of the james river was beautiful. and on top of it the food was amazing!

A Perfect Night at The Boathouse at City Point I had the most incredible experience at this restaurant! On February 14, 2025, I got engaged to my best friend—one of the happiest moments of my life, second only to becoming a mother. I was completely overjoyed and surprised! The food and service were absolutely excellent, making the night even more special. Despite living in the area for a year, this was my first visit to The Boathouse at City Point, and I’m so glad he chose this restaurant for such a memorable occasion. I couldn’t have asked for a better setting to celebrate such a beautiful moment. Highly recommend!

The live music was nice, it wasn’t too crowded, but the food was absolutely not worth the price $167 for two side salads, one (small) entree, an appetizer, and a few drinks

If you go to this location make sure it’s not a busy time of the year like Valentine’s Day. The service and ambiance was great but the food was horrible.

Valentines Day dinner was on point. I had the filet Oscar for entree the wife crab cakes. All cooked to perfection. Our server was attentive and very pleasant. Great time.

We used the online reservation system and it worked very well. Our wait time was short. The food was excellent, though the serving was a little less than expected for the price. The view was outstanding and added to the overall dining experience. I would highly recommend attending.

Valentine's Day lunch at The Boathouse at City Point was great! The food was delicious and our server was attentive. The food was a little slow coming out, but that was understandable with more than normal customers on this special day. I wish that they had a special menu for Valentine's Day, but we enjoyed our entrees; fried shrimp, the salmon dish, and the Zookie for dessert. The meal was expensive for a lunch, close to $100 with tip, but the quality and taste of the food were appreciated.
