The food overall is excellent and the space is beautiful! They double booked so we were seated almost 30 minutes over our time, but management made everything right! Sam was a great server

We had a 4:00 reservation, right when the restaurant opened. I arrived at 4:02, and was not sat until 4:20. If you are not going to be prepared to seat people as the restaurant opens, don’t allow people to make reservations at that time.

Beautiful restaurant. They gave us a window seat as requested. Service was slow despite not being crowded. Took 45 minutes to get oysters. Drinks were also slow coming. Food was great except for some flaws. Eggs were way overcooked despite requesting over easy (not even close. Yolks were hard.) However they did give us poached after asking. Shrimp and grits were delicious. Biscuits were great as well. Crab omelet was tasty. Waitress was very friendly and helpful with suggestions.

Went for brunch. The crab cake benedict were over cooked and the biscuits they were on we so solid you had to really cut/saw them. We ended up setting the biscuits aside and eating the crab cake and eggs. The Chesapeake omelette was also over cooked and tough. Also, the crab on the omelette was just 4 pieces of crab set on top. For a higher end restaurant, we expected better.

Lovely location. Love the crab cakes and salmon but there were quite a lot of shells in crab cakes this time. Tasty but more high maintenance.

We stopped in for lunch today and were surprised to find it wasn’t busy, especially considering the strong reviews and recommendation to make a reservation. Naturally, we had high expectations. I ordered the fried shrimp, which were decent but pretty plain. That said, they ended up being the highlight of the meal. The dish came with fries and coleslaw — I would’ve appreciated more variety in the side options, especially another type of potato. My boyfriend is vegetarian, and we specifically chose this place because it seemed to offer a good variety of sides for him. He ordered the bread basket along with spinach, asparagus, and coleslaw. Unfortunately, while the descriptions sounded promising, the sides were underwhelming and lacked flavor — some basic seasoning would’ve made a big difference. The butter served with the bread was nice, but not enough to elevate the overall experience. We decided to try dessert and went with the Apple Crisp and the Crème Brûlée. The Apple Crisp wasn’t to our liking — the oat topping didn’t work for us, and a traditional crust might have improved it. The Crème Brûlée was just okay. Our server was friendly but not particularly attentive. The service didn’t leave a lasting impression. Overall, I left feeling disappointed. With all the hype and positive feedback, I expected more in terms of flavor, service, and overall experience.

It was Mother's Day 2025, I wasn't told when reservations were made that this day was to be buffet style therefore I was disappointed because now at the venue, it was much too late to book anywhere else; I had to make the best of a situation. If nothing else I enjoyed spending time with my Mother.
