   The special was a Flounder and it was one of the best fish dishes I’ve ever had! Went two nights in a row while visiting Richmond! Oysters were great too! Loved it!

   We were sat in a section that the bartender had. We only saw her once to take orders. 30 minutes later we needed drinks and were almost done with our food. She was apologetic and got us dessert I just would have preferred to have a server who wasn’t busy with bar.

   Overall, excellent experience. The food was good. The atmosphere was great. Our server was wonderful. Unfortunately, given the ratio of customers to servers the service was rather slow.

   I love the food at the boathouse but I’m alway’s underwhelmed by the service. Nice people but apparently, no leadership it’s sad how inept the waitstaff is. I’ll keep trying but it’s sad. I spent the same amount as a better place,like lemaire or bookbinders even the slightly better tobacco company, so inferior. I’ll come back eventually. Never been the same since before covid, sad.

    This was an amazing dining experience. The view, the food, and the service was outstanding! Casual dress code was a plus. Raw oysters were delicious! Large scallops cooked perfectly! All the shrimp were huge. The shrimp cocktail was so good we had to get a second order! I've eaten steaks at a lot of places, but this was the most perfectly cooked steak I have ever had!!! DELICIOUS!! I can't say enough about this place. It was expensive, but worth every penny!! Our server was on point! Not overbearing, but right there when we needed him! Kept our table clear and was very kind and attentive.
