Online Outdoor booking is only for green house and fixed menu $50(3 courses), appetizer is good but main course are mainly burgers with dessert, the value is only sitting inside the green house with beach view, I can get burgers anywhere else

We enjoyed brunch at the Boat Shed and thought we might book again in June. However, there appears to be something wrong with the Open Table reservation system as try as I might I cannot find a date/time that is available even though I have gone as far as August for both daytime and evening slots. This is very frustrating. I would recommend the Boat Shed, but caution about the reservation system. And by the way, even the phone number given on the website for the restaurant does not get answered.

Our garden shed was on the road so a bit noisy. Fish tacos filling and tasty. Allotted time was adequate.

Mother’s Day disaster. Arrived and was seated on time. It was a set brunch menu. We then waited for over 1 hour for breakfast. When we complained; we were told by the server that the manager was too busy to come and talk to us to explain the situation. After 1:15, the food arrived and was all cold and not to order at all; even missing some ingredients. We pointed it out and were told that the kitchen had run out of some items. We then decided to leave to see the table next to us be served the correct meals with the items that were missing. On top of all of this; take away orders we’re still being processed and people continued to be seated. A very disappointing experience.

The greenhouses were very cute. It was nice and bright and warm. The service was sub-par considering the standard $50/pp for lunch. We got a mix of options on the menu - most things were delicious but a couple of us got the fish and chips and the fish was very oily and mushy. It wasn't what I expected considering this was a beachside restaurant and fish and chips is a pretty common meal. We were celebrating 2 birthday's and Mother's Day and we asked our waitress for a photo - she literally responded "I'm run off my feet and this is super inconvenient and annoying". Then proceeded to take the photo but was very unhappy about it. I kid you not. I was shocked that someone could even say something like that point blank to a table of customers. It was unacceptable and one of the rudest things someone has ever said to us in a restaurant. It truly isn't the customers problem if they are understaffed (management should have made proper arrangements especially since it was mother's day weekend). Totally shameful.

The Boatshed is charming and the greenhouse setting is very pleasant. Unfortunately, this is our second experience with waiting 1 1/4 hrs for our main course and then being rushed out for the dessert and bill. The food is good but not up to the $50 pp price point. I’m fine with paying a premium under the circumstances and fine with the 1 1/2 hour time limit, but object to being rushed out of the restaurant when we are running late due to the restaurant’s slow service. I appreciate that COVID has created incredibly challenging circumstances and will give the greenhouse experience one more try because it is such a nice idea and I know this is a fairly new restaurant.

It got pretty cold and although they tried to warm up the little greenhouses with heaters and 'hot water bottles', blankets would be a great touch - or table cloths to keep the heat in below the table (cold feet and legs). Food was great, delicious cocktails! Would definitely come again!!
