Had lunch in the Brasserie with a friend. It was delicious we both enjoyed it. Service was just as you want it. Staff were polite and friendly not overbearing. Restaurant area was spotless. Food was as described on the menu. Bread and Olives were also delicious. It’s easy to get to either by bus or car and there is free parking.

The £50 voucher was bought for us as a treat. My husband and I and our 4 year old granddaughter went along sat out in the sunshine and ordered our food which was excellent. The staff were so friendly. Definitely will go back.

Hi ElaineW, We greatly appreciate your feedback about our Brasserie and Garden Terrace. We are glad that you enjoyed your meal! It's amazing to hear that you enjoyed our lovely Garden Terrace with your Granddaughter, especially with the sunshine! If you're interested in trying something new, we now have our newly opened Bonnars fine dining restaurant located within our sister hotel, the Scott. Its a new experience different to the Brasserie, with a Fine Dining Tasting Menu and a stunning A La Carte. We can't wait to welcome you back to one of our lovely restaurants! Kind regards and best wishes, Matthew Brian Food and Beverage Supervisor

The food was excellent, a bit disappointing that you only had one bottle of non alcoholic peroni. Waiter/waitress service not the best. The bill system was very confusing, I was using a 35 Voucher, I think I have been overcharged but given that you don’t supply an itemised bill when using voucher. The waiter was unable to explain and did not seem to understand it. We had the following Portion olives to share Large glass of picpoul Salmon large, this item is on bill as 4.95 1 Caesar salad with chicken 16 1 lemon curd tart 8 1 x ice cream 5 1 3..95 1 sparkling wine 2.95 Total charged 38.38.85 The first three items do not come to 35 value of voucher. I had intended to purchase direct from you a gift voucher but don’t think represents value for money, Could not fault food it was excellent. Interested to hear your reply

Arrived a bit early so went to the bar to wait for our table. Food very filling. Menu a bit limited for Main course choice. Some background music would have been nice. Enjoyable evening overall and a very convenient local location.

There was no gluten free option on the main menu. Only option was cold salmon from the small serve menu

We started with a drink in an elegant and comfortable bar before going to the table. The service throughout was excellent: a revelation. The food was very good: the fish dish of the day was excellent. The wine list included high quality wines by the glass. Excellent value for money all round. The ambience was good but all hard surfaces meant it could be noisy.

Food was great. Service was appalling. We weren’t offered water. Our drinks came after we had finished eating out food. Their appeared to be no staff clearing tables or staff to be found when looking to pay bill. The staff that were there (2) seemed inexperienced. We were bought a voucher so had to sit in the garden per the terms and it felt like sitting in a kids playground as we were fenced in surrounded by student halls. I would return to try the Bistro as it seemed like it would have more atmosphere and the food was really tasty. Perhaps we came on a short staffed day.

It was a beautiful day and we had pre lunch drinks in garden which was beautiful. We were o. EH offer bur no one seemed to know anything about it!! V frustrating. We got this sorted and having had 3 drinks outside we aye inside as seating outside not as good for eating. We had fish and chips and 2 desserts - lemon tart and date pudding. Food was all good if the date pudding could havevdone with a little sauce to round it off. With offer we got free drink - small wine or beer or soft drink and 20% off everything else. This was a good deal. We then had coffee outside. Bill was brought and (as I suspected) was wrong! They tried to charge us for 2 extra gins and the 'free' drinks! This was sorted but only because I noticed it. Staff were v pleasant but not v efficient......having said all of this I would go back.
