We are very proud to have been voted Best Restaurant by our diners through Open Table.
A well established independent family run dog-friendly pub with real log fires, in the heart of Berkhamsted; considered by many to be a "proper" pub.
With the benefit of a car park and a spacious, sunny beer garden, backing onto the canal. Plus an enclosed, heated Mediterranean styled decking area to the rear, perfect for Al Fresco dining.
Our seasonal menu and specials, are created in house by our head chef Oli Board and his team, show casing fresh local produce and catering to all dietary requirements. Sunday is all about our home cooked Roast, served till 5.00pm. Food from the kitchen is available during all bookable hours.

    We have a variety of spaces available to hire for events. For groups of 20-80 areas of the pub and gardens can be reserved during regular business trade. For events of 100+ outside peak business hours the entire pub can be hired. No per head charge but a holding deposit may be required and and food or drinks must be bought from us.

    Absolutely the best roast in town! The Bull is just such a lovely and cosy pub. The staff are so friendly and the food it's just the best. We go here for a Roast after doing the Mud Pack Challenge at Ashridge, it's a tradition now and once again the roast did not disappoint! We even ordered all the remaining cauliflower cheese because its so good (make sure you don't miss out on that too!) Honestly just lovely service, great food and friendly atmosphere. Would highly recommend. Our go to place for the best Sunday roast in Berko!

    The best roast in Berkhamsted. Always good, lovely staff and even got extra roasties later on to nibble on! Thank you as always for an excellent Sunday lunch. Love this place.

    I came here with some residents from my care home for a mens lunch. They all had a lovely time and enjoyed their afternoon out. They all enjoyed their food but the large portions unfortunately defeated them but was yummy none the less. Thank you
