   Friendly and helpful staff, who made us feel very welcome. The choice and quality of food was fantastic. The evening was marred by a diner on the adjacent table who had a very loud phone ring tone, who did not answer his phone but let it ring, telling his fellow diner that he didn't want to speak to the person ringing. Not the restaurants fault, but as the phone rang frequently it disturbed our dinner with friends.

   We had a very good lunch, no complaints at all. The staff were very efficient and friendly. Would recommend.

   Brought my parents from Malaysia to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday. They loved the warm, cosy ambience and appeal the pub had. Greeted by the team (we were the first guests, so we had the entire team's attention) and shown our table. So welcoming! They adjusted the heating for my parents who clearly were not used to the cold. Offered drinks and food, arrived promptly and we were so impressed! Every dish was meticulously plated and the food was genuinely excellent. Portions were good, and we just had a good time. We didn't plan on a cake for my daughter but they brought her a little sweet treat with a candle which was just a personal touch and much appreciated. Overall, we left with full and happy tummies, and such pleasant memories. Thank you all so much. Till we meet again.

   As before we had a delicious and interesting meal. The food is well prepared and nicely presented too. This is a place for special occasions for us as it is rather pricey but we haven't been disappointed yet. Unfortunately when we were there this time there was a very noisy party going on in the bar, but the staff could not have been more apologetic and luckily the culprits soon left.

   Relaxed atmosphere with lovely food served professioanly without fuss or drama. The wines were particularly good!

   An excellent meal. The starter of blue cheese and beetroot salad was very good, but the highlight was the monkfish tail with pancetta - beautifully cooked and in generous portions. Lovely soda bread to start. Lovely warm atmosphere and attentive service.

    Once found the Butchers Arms exudes charm. Very warm welcome and log burner adding warmth on a wet day. Overall the food was excellent however, a little mystified by the same sauce being served with the Venison and the duck? Presentation of starters and mains excellent. Price range pp was around £45 -£50 3 starters, 3 mains 1 desert.
