   A really fantastic meal. Great food and great service. The menu is innovative with great vegetarian choices along with the staples (oysters, steak, etc.) you would expect to see in Newport. Worthy of a trip for a special occasion or simply a date-night.

   The Chanler fine dining experience continues with Remys Loose. Utilizing what will be Cara’s pretty indoor space, the new addition to the Chanler will be on the terrace come summer. The fare is beautifully sourced for the meat and seafood dishes. It reaches that sweet spot between “elevated” and approachable with a creative menu for everyone’s taste. Although it is very sophisticated, it was also warm and welcoming. As for desserts which are often an afterthought, they are sublime. Chef Jacob and his team are making magic with in their gorgeous open kitchen. Remys Loose is so worth the experience. We plan on making it part of our repertoire.

   I've been to The Chanler’s previous café many times and absolutely loved it, but Remy’s Loose has surpassed all expectations. This was an unparalleled dining experience. The décor is sleek yet comfortable, and as always, the team was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We tried multiple dishes, and each was better than the last. The onion bread was phenomenal, and I was especially surprised by the amberjack, as it was extraordinary. Even my partner, who doesn’t usually like seafood, loved it! The oysters were impeccably fresh with the perfect mignonette, and the red snapper was divine. The steak was cooked to perfection, and for dessert, we shared a fruit dish with ladyfingers that balanced sweetness beautifully. One of the biggest surprises was the ravioli with peas; it was incredibly fresh and tasted like spring on a plate. Every detail of the meal was thoughtfully executed, and we can’t wait to return. A sincere thank you to the Chef, who truly outdid himself. Highly recommend!

   As always, The Chanler exceeds expectations. My husband and I love to stop by for our date nights, so we couldn’t resist coming to opening night of Remy’s Loose. The atmosphere is elegant and cozy, a small space that prioritizes comfort and aesthetic. The service was impeccable, with knowledgeable staff and visits from the chef to every table. The night ran smoothly, with no indication it was the first evening of public operations. The cocktails were unique and delightful, and the suggested wine pairings were perfect. Our food was top-notch, with some of our favorites being the Rhode Island Mushroom pasta dish, the house onion bread and Poussin de Printemps. We look forward to coming back many times in the future!

   The Chanler is a beautiful and charming hotel with a vision for providing a high-end luxury guest experience. As someone who truly enjoys food and beverages—especially those that offer a luxurious experience—I am always thrilled to explore new dining venues. Recently, The Chanler opened a new restaurant called Remy’s Loose. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by friendly guest services at the front. Valet parking is available, so there’s no need to worry about finding parking. Upon checking in, a lovely staff member offered to take our coat and even volunteered to take a picture of us. Isn’t that a wonderful touch? It really enhances the guest experience! Remy’s Loose features a charming atmosphere with great decor, which I found very exciting. I’ve heard it has the potential to become one of the best restaurants in town. The ambiance is one of its standout features and truly reflects the charm of Newport. The decor, design, and overall concept are impressive. With a well-staffed team and proper training, I believe this restaurant can achieve a fantastic vibe.

   Once again, a glorious Christmas dinner at the Chanler! This was our second year in a row and is now our Christmas dinner tradition. I’ve never had pate before today & it was delicious! Julia wasn’t our waitress this year but she remembered us & came and said hello! Such a lovely surprise! 😊
