   Excellent Valentine's Day Dinner at The Canadian Brewhouse - Okotoks, AB For Valentine's Day 2025, my 12-year-old son and I planned a special dinner for my wife, our 9-year-old daughter, and my son's girlfriend. We searched for nice restaurants in Calgary, but most were overpriced, starting at $65 per person. Thankfully, we found The Canadian Brewhouse in Okotoks, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice! From the moment we arrived, the experience was excellent. Even though it was a busy night, our reserved table was ready on time. The service was outstanding—our server was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. The ambiance and decor were impressive. The restaurant had a lively atmosphere with fun details like hockey-shaped forks and knives, multiple screens playing sports, and special Valentine’s Day touches. Our table was decorated with hearts and a red cloth, adding to the festive feel. The food was absolutely delicious. The Parmesan Chicken Fettuccini had the perfect balance of flavors, and the Canadian Burger tasted like it had been grilled over charcoal, rich and flavorful. The wait time was slightly longer due to the busy night, but the server was very accommodating and even gave us a discount for the delay—a thoughtful gesture that we truly appreciated. Despite dining out as a family of five, the price was very reasonable. Unlike many other Valentine’s Day options, The Canadian Brewhouse provided great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and excellent service without breaking the bank. We had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion or a casual night out. Great food, great service, and great value!

   Our experience was very good. We were both birthday girls enjoying a much needed get together . For birthday folks you get a free nachos 😋 if you sign up for the Candian Brewhouse app. The recommendations by the server were helpful and informative, and in the end very tastey. Food was very good, customer service rep was excellent, it was a little noise to start but it seemed to get tined down and it was clean.

   There were 6 of us at Canadian Brewhouse. It was not busy. Our server was extremely slow. We waited a good ten minutes to order drinks. We had to track her down to order our meals. We didn't get our meals for a solid hour after we orders. She blamed the kitchen. We frequent the establishment frequently and this was the slowest service we have experiences.

   We went to this location often before and our experience was always a good one. This time we went there on a Tuesday at 1:30 pm. There were only two people working out front ( a server and a bartender) and the three of us were the only guests. As a result, the level of excitement in the place was very low and it showed when it came to the service as it was very slow and we felt like we were more of an inconvenience rather than a valued guest. I am sure this was an isolated incident.

   Went for wing night. The last few times we have gone, there have been errors to our order. This time there were also errors to our bills. The server was not very attentive and did not check in.

   Dry ribs were too salty, ordered a drink with dry ice, they didn’t have dry ice…. Yet still charged 13.99. Didn’t have beef dip. On a MONDAY….. was there for my daughter’s birthday. 3rd year we’ve spent at the brew house. Ordered her birthday shot, and it came as a drink….. I’ve been eating here for more than 5 years, and this had to be the worst. But our waitress was the BOMB!

   It is time to renovate. Ripped benches and chairs need replacing. Service limited due to the hockey game.more servers was needed.

   In with a large party but service times were so bad. Drinks were taking 20’minutes between rounds. There was 12 of us at the table and we all ordered food at the same time. The time between the first persons food arriving at the table and the last four people’s food being delivered was 17 minutes. Most people were finished eating before the last of us got our food. I had a steak sandwich ordered rare and it was well done (not even close to medium or medium well) and my sons boneless wings came out as bone-in regular wings so they had to be sent back after waiting for a server to come back ten minutes later. I didn’t even get a quality check so I had to suck it up and eat the well done steak.

    Unfortunately we were never able to use our reservation. My son was playing in a very popular soccer tournament and knowing how busy the town would be we made reservations in advance to be able to have a nice lunch between games on Father’s Day. When we arrived it was busy, chaotic and messy with next to no quality customer service. We did go to our seats quite quickly but were left sitting for over 10 minutes before I called over a server. We were told that the kitchen wait was over an hour and a half because soccer teams kept coming in. This was quite disappointing since we had made a reservation which they were unable to handle in a reasonable time frame because they had seated large groups they couldn’t handle. It was clearly poor management/staffing/customer service on a predictably busy weekend.
