   Excellent Sunday roast! Opted for the roast beef! Plenty of meat, perfect roast potatoes and delicious veg. The Yorkshire’s were 👌

   Second visit to eat since The Chequers reopened. Good meal in a relaxed environment, and excellent service. Will be back.

   sadly there was only one chef on but the food that was served was fanatastic. I really couldn't reccomened the pub enoguh, great food & lovely staff . well done

   The service had slightly improved since our visit earlier this month but could still be better. Mixed opinions on the food, two enjoyed, two didn’t. The worst meal being the fish n chips, the fish was soggy.

   We had a fantastic dining experience at The Chequers Inn. Could not fault the atmosphere, nor the service from the restaurant staff. With new chefs in, cooking some superb, great value dishes we have already booked to go back and would thoroughly recommend it!

   The pub is very traditional and cosy inside. The restaurant menu is small but there are daily specials. I had the special fish which was lovely and my husband had the fish and chips. There is no children’s menu but they are very accommodating with changes to anything on the menu. Our 2 year old had two starters which were also very nice. They also gave him pencils and a colouring book for entertaining him. Staff are friendly and helpful. We will be back for sure.

   This is a lovely old pub with fantastic food, well above the average for pub food. We will definitely be back.
