Once known as the “skyscraper” of its day, the historic Germania Hall building, built in 1878, in downtown Wooster is now home to The City Square Steakhouse.

Award-winning chef Mike Mariola and wife, Emily, opened The City Square Steakhouse in 2008. City Square promises a dining experience you’d expect from a big city while maintaining its historic small-town charm, and has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Steakhouses in America.

The City Square Steakhouse is proud to exclusively use Certified Angus Beef products for all steaks and burgers. In addition to steaks, seafood, and other entrees, the inimitable flavor and delicacy of Butter Cake – City Square’s signature dessert – is truly the “cherry on top” of the City Square experience.

    Food was wonderful! The filets are cooked to perfection and the mashed potatoes are creamy. Our server Spencer was fantastic. He is very attentive and takes the time to get to know you. We will be back!

    Best value and best food we have found in a while! Every dish was excellent. Our drinks were fantastic. Filet was great! The service was great, especially for it being Valentines Day! The quality of the food seemed higher than the price.

    Made an effort to make reservations ahead of time, but we’re seated in the outdoor seating area that was covered with heaters. Our food took well over an hour to get, but the food was good quality, and serving staff apologized multiple times.

    Absolutely Fantastic! Robin, our server was WONDERFUL, the food was delicious! Loved that we got to sit in the room with full view garage doors. The deco was beautiful. Music was great. There was a large party in the room too, they were having fun and enjoying things as well. Even with this large party, Robin did not miss a beat -- No one did! It was a perfect evening out to celebrate!

    The fish special was very tasty as was the Delmonico steak. Their Caesar salad is available with anchovies and is awesome!
