The Commons Restaurant is located inside the clubhouse of Stone Mountain Golf Club, overlooking Stone Mountain Lake. Offering both indoor and outdoor seating as well as takeaway service, the grill features all of your favorite pub fare and local beer on tap. Went to commons during a work retreat at the Stone Mountain resort. I suppose it was off season and there was not alot of people there. It was a Tuesday. One server. Gloria was very nice. I ended up making a reservation two nights before because i thought it was going to be busy. I believe their online menu did not match what they were serving. The online menu is what caught my eye for the decision to go to this restaurant. My coworker and i stayed anyway. The view was great. I had my heart set on the prime rib but i ended up getting the rib eye. The mushroom glaze was delicious. My steak was a tad bit underdone but overall meal was good.

We dined just before they closed on a Monday at 5:30. Very few people in the restaurant. Had a beautiful view of the lake from our table. We were greeted in a relaxed and friendly manner by the host and had really terrific service from Gloria, our waitress. The men ordered the ribs and they were very pleased with the tenderness and flavor. I had the arugula salad with grilled salmon. Loved the salmon but the salad had raw onions rather than mild pickled onions ( which they have had on this salad in the past) and not enough of the feta and pecans for the volume of arugula. So I enjoyed it but left most of the arugula on the plate. My sister ordered the chicken and pineapple kabobs and it all looked grilled to perfection. She loved it. This is a restaurant that serves simple fare , has a lovely view and great service.

The food was horrible. Waffles were hard as rocks. Some of the burners not on so food was cold. The beef was tough…server gave slice piece that been sitting under a heat lamp and was not moist. The only two nice experience was our server Gloria. Each time we had an issue with food she was quick to resolve. The ambience and view were great. Will not chose the Commons for special occasion like Mother’s Day again.
