   Showed up early and was welcomed, seated and served first drink, coconut margaritas within minutes. Husband and wife establishment and you could feel the family type atmosphere. It’s a place that you go once and then it will be your go to from then on. Great location.

   Amazing food, service, and an atmosphere that is both comfortably chill and elegantly European-inspired. We had dinner here for my birthday and everything blew us away (the pomme puree was probably the best we've ever had, and we've had A LOT in our time). The cocktails were fantastic, wine selection was solid, and the tableside Caesar should not be missed; very few places in the city offer that anymore and at The Continental it's done in a proper wooden bowl. We'll definitely be visiting again!

I knew I was in for a treat from the first sip of my expertly crafted cocktail. The restaurant’s cocktail and wine selection is thoughtfully curated, perfectly balancing classic and innovative options. The sommelier’s recommendations were spot-on, enhancing each dish without overpowering the flavour. The duck was nothing short of perfection—crispy, golden skin enveloping tender, juicy meat cooked to ideal doneness. Each bite was rich, flavorful, and complemented beautifully by the carefully selected accompaniments. The attention to detail in preparation and presentation was evident, making it a standout evening dish. The chicken dish was another highlight, proving that simplicity can be just as remarkable as complexity when done right. Moist, well-seasoned, and expertly cooked, it showcased the kitchen’s mastery over classic techniques and high-quality ingredients. A true showstopper of the evening was the Crêpe Suzette, prepared tableside with theatrical flair. Watching the delicate crêpes flambéed in a fragrant, citrusy Grand Marnier sauce mesmerizing. The final dish was nothing short of divine—silky, warm, and bursting with bright, caramelized orange flavours that provided the perfect sweet ending to an already outstanding meal.    We arrived early we very friendly greeted and sat at our table. Food and drinks were both delicious. We all had bananas foster table side which was also very good. Wait staff were friendly and attentive. Would definitely go back as there are lots of different food options I still want to try.

   We tried the 5-course tasting menu. The amuse bouche was a truffle crème with a dash of cayenne. The frisée lettuce salad was lightly dressed with citrus honey Dijon vinaigrette. Our appetizer was beef tartare and micro greens with house made potato crisps. The seafood course was a melt in your mouth pan-seared sablefish on a bed of lobster ravioli. A small lemon sorbet was the palate cleanser before our entree, New York strip loin with broccolini and a yellow bell pepper on a Madeira reduction sauce. The last course was a passion fruit crème, mascarpone, crumbs, and a raspberry. Our servers, Hannah and Eric, were friendly and efficient, pacing the courses appropriately. The dining room is cozy and unpretentious, a space to relax in and enjoy for hours. If you crave a culinary experience that's both comforting and stimulating, give it a try. We're glad we did!

    Honestly? It was a bit of a letdown. Perhaps NYE wasn't the time to visit. They struggled seating the next round of reservations, including ours, which was fine. We weren't in a rush. But everyone seemed flustered. One staff member was cursing the night out of frustration. Loudly. With lots of profanities. Not all staff was familiar with the menu. Biggest dissapointment though was the food. We got the ceaser salad, which is made fresh at the table. Though impressive, the dressing had too much lemon and wasn't great. For our mains, we ordered the chicken and sable fish and received the chicken and salmon. The salmon was.... salmon. Nothing I'd ever order. All the staff was very fun and polite, though. Even the cursing one. Just caught in a frustrating moment and likely didn't realize how loud they were being. Would try again, not on Nye. I'm chalking it up to a busy night. Wouldn't recommend the salmon, though. Or the ceaser.
