   We have been here before and enjoyed it so I was very excited to pick this restaurant as the brunch spot for Mother’s Day. We made a reservation and arrived on time. We came in and were sat a few minutes later. Once we were sat the server gave us waters and even gave our son a new kids cup so he wouldn’t spill the glass cup. She came back about 10 minutes later to take our drink order. When they arrived my drink was wrong and missing the salt on the rim (which makes the drink) but I didn’t say anything as they seemed busy. There are about 10 tables and 6 were sat. Another table came in after us, a party of 6 and then a party of 3. After waiting about 40 minutes the server said “I’ll be right back to take your order” to the table of 6 that was sat 10-15min after us. She then proceeded to return and take their order, never once acknowledging us. Over the 45 minutes of waiting for our order to be taken we noticed only 1 waitress, 1 bartender. We tried to be very understanding of them being understaffed but once the other tables order was taken in front of us we decided to ask for the check. We asked for the check and she said ok and then returned and said she was sorry, that something happened to the cook and that they were short staffed and said the 2 drinks were on them. This was a very kind gesture but it being Mother’s Day we knew this was detrimental and we would have very limited options of where we could go next to eat. 45 minutes is a very long time for a 4 yr old to wait and it would’ve been even longer because we didn’t even place our order. Had we been notified when we sat of the issue we would’ve been a lot more understanding. I really had high hopes for this place as we loved it before but it totally ruined my Mother’s Day brunch :( we will be back but only to eat at the bar and only my husband and I (in case there is another long wait).

   Thank you for the thoughtful review. We apologize for falling short and not giving you the experience you deserve. Our Chef had a stroke late Saturday night and is still in a coma. So the team was not at its best the next morning and very concerned. We tried to push through since it was mothers day but obviously we did not do very well. We hope that you will give us another try to let us show you the food and service we have been known for over the years. Again we are sorry for your experience on Mother's Day.

   Great neighborhood place. Food was really good. Not loud for the size of the space. Service was great and friendly. Definitely would go again.

   A good place to go for cocktails but we won’t go back for food. They were out of three of the wines on their menu. Food was just “okay” and took a while to come out. The restaurant was not busy at that time. Four people in our party, all ordered very different entrees and each of us were disappointed.

   We came for fun cocktails, but were wowed by the food. The mushroom pasta was one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had! If you are a mushroom lover, do yourself a favor and order it-absolutely scrumptious! My meat lover husband enjoyed the pork shank, but I think my pasta was the winner.

   Our server was amazing, despite having to manage the entire floor and bar tend, she had a great attitude and was super attentive to our group. Food and drinks were amazing as always!
