Another great sunday lunch at the Cricketers. The Cricketers really does live up to its reputation, the standard and quality is always very good. Service as well. Pretty much a banker of a pub around here.

Food and service was fine, and as expected. Value for money not so much, for example JD and coke was a shot of Jack and a can of coke, £4.50 for a single, and £3.20 for the can, Dick Turpin at least wore a mask. Then the other issue was heating; it was on full wack, but in their defence it was cold outside. The trouble was, my chair was immediately adjacent to the frying pan, the chef wasn't as warm as me I swear! Honestly, I had to get out of there, the most uncomfortable of eating experiences in a long time. In short, if you don't drink JD and don't mind being cooked, you'll have a lovely experience.

Thanks Andy for your review. I was in a Premier Inn two weeks ago and Dick must have been doing the rounds. £6.05 for a single house vodka. With the Cricketers being an old building sometimes the heating can be up and down but I'd rather be too hot than cold when I'm dining out. I hope it's not put you off returning as we do some great offers mid week and we are starting our Pizza kitchen back up in the next few weeks. Thanks again Stuart
