   First time visit we both enjoyed the food, wine, friendly and helpful staff and other diners. Will recommend and visit again.

   Usually love it here. However, none of our food choices were available. No roast dinners left (on a Sunday!) No manager came over to apologise or explain. Had to chase several times for drinks. Several people were complaining about the lack of availability and food. Although our food was ok - it just wasn’t what we wanted.

   The setting was lovely and the staff were really nice but sadly after being given the recommendation from fiends I was a little underwhelmed by the quality of the food. I had the lasagne and it didn’t have much taste for my liking. I would like to return and try another dish but sadly I won’t be in a rush.

   We've been to The Cricketers many times and this meal was very good quality, and also good value. The staff are always friendly and there is a nice mix of locals and newcomers/families, so it's a pleasant vibe. Always reliable and enjoyable.

   A lovely Saturday lunch with my mum today - wonderful service from the moment we arrived. Our drinks order was taken promptly and served quickly - the most important part of service in my opinion as it sets the tone for the whole meal! Food was excellent (we had the burger and the salmon) - I couldn’t fault it. So much so that’s we’ve booked a big family meal there in a month’s time. Looking forward to coming back!

    We chose The Cricketers for a small family meet-up. We had some starters which were varied and beautifully presented. All the main course dishes were excellent - cooked to perfection and with innovative touches. We had no room for desserts but had some good coffee to finish. Service was attentive but not intrusive. The surroundings were comfortable and nicely decorated. The value for money was excellent too. Highly recommended.
