   We love this restaurant we keep coming back for special occasions! The food is always a 10/10 but tonight it wasn’t super busy and the band was wonderful, but they were really loud so it kept our table conversations to a minimum which was a bummer. It was really loud and overwhelming. However, we still love this restaurant and we definitely will be back!

   Everyone in staff is so amazing, Franni our server was AMAZING! Chef Paul & Nick are great and make you feel like your family🥳 and Arturo was so funny and we were lucky enough to be around them all! Thanks for a wonderful experience ❤️

   We really enjoy Drake and its ambience. Unlike most people who want to sit near the jazz band, we sit on the enclosed patio where you can still hear the music but can still talk to each other. Very romantic. Had the lamb lollipops and beet salad to start. Both were excellent. Main dish - sea bass which had a fabulous sauce on the side. Normally, the salmon with its key lime based sauce on the side is my repeat go to (it's amazing), but the sea bass was a clear winner as well. Not to be missed.

   Everything was great with exception of the Hamachi Crudo appetizer, which turned out to be like a poke bowl,… which was horrible. Horrible special.

   I would give this place 5 stars, but I didn’t realize the “bar” seating is separate from the music. You can still hear but can’t see and that’s one of the main reasons I wanted to come here so that was a disappointment. However, the drinks were very good—my husband absolutely loved his Negroni.

    The layout of The Drake is a bit odd. The bar and lounge area is separate from the main dining room which is where the entertainment is. You can certainly hear the music but not see the performers. There is also an enclosed patio (was cool in March) which had a glass wall between the patio and the dining room and entertainment. No issue hearing and seeing the entertainment. Despite a reservation well in advance we were seated in the patio which turned out to be just fine. We were originally offered a table for two right beside the singer which would have been a loud location and opted for the patio. Our server was absolutely excellent and the food was some of the best we had over twelve days in California. The entertainment was excellent although not at a volume that everyone would love (as others have noted). We found it fine. Would recommend. Great evening.
