The booking process was simple, the table for 8 was very good and available on time. The staff were efficient and courteous and obliging to all our requests. The food was cooked and presented to an excellent standard. Overall an excellent value for money meal.

We were celebrating my Irish partners birthday so a well poured pint of Guinness was a good start. We both had Sunday roasts which were lovely. Good amount of meat and variety of veg. More roasties would have made it perfect. Great country pub atmosphere.

Wow Everything you could want from a country pub - amazing, locally-sourced food; a warm and friendly welcome and service; great value, and they allow dogs! We are fussy foodies, but did not have a single quibble with anything. Fresh, homemade, traditional fare and some incredible views. Will definitely be making it out ‘go to’ pub from now on

We visited on Saturday 14th December as a party of 6 ladies. We booked the Christmas menu. On arrival we were greeted by a very pleasant member of the team. The food arrived and was very well presented and hot. The staff were very attentive and asked regularly if there was anything else needed. We had a lovely evening with gorgeous food and in very comfortable surroundings. Thank you.

My friend and I booked for lunch to have in the middle of our countryside walk. We chose to eat from the Christmas menu. We shared a duck parfait starter, both had salmon for mains and shared a cheeseboard. Each course was absolutely lovely. The staff were very friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. I can warmly recommend.

We had a fantastic roast at the Dumb Post yesterday. Although very busy, the service was excellent, we didn't have to wait long for our drinks or food. When the food arrived we were not disappointed. We would highly recommend this pub for a Sunday lunch.
