I recently had the chance to dine at [THE DUPLEX ] and wanted to share my thoughts on the experience. While the ambiance had great potential, my visit was marred by a few notable issues. Firstly, I must mention the food. Unfortunately, SOME of the dishes we ordered were overwhelmingly salty, which made it difficult to enjoy the flavors. this was a bit much, and it overshadowed the meal. Another point of concern was the service. It seemed like the restaurant might have been understaffed during my visit, leading to a chaotic atmosphere and longer wait times. One one server was serving all tables. And unfortunately she had an overwhelming smell coming from her. What stood out most, however, was the manager's response to customer feedback. When approached about our concerns, the manager was rather brusque, which left a sour note on what could have been a delightful evening. Despite these drawbacks, I believe in the power of constructive criticism. I did not have the chance to provide feedback directly to management at the time, but I hope they can take this into account and work on improving their service and food quality. Overall, while there were elements that could use significant improvement.

We Waited over an hour for a table when we had reservations for 6 people. It was like the reservation was not planned for at all. We did not get our meals until over 2 hours after the reservation time, and half the table was served their food 5-10 minutes before the other half, which meant everyone else had to wait while their food got cold despite being extremely hungry after waiting forever to eat. The food was also very basic- I had the branzino and honestly I make better fish at home. This was a special occasion and I had hoped the experience would be better. The host and manager were apologetic and gave us a bottle of sparkling wine to make us happier, but things still did not get better as the night went on. The best points were the cocktails and service- the bartender and server mostly did a good job, it seemed like it was mainly the host or manager who may have messed up the booking, and the cooks/chef for the food quality and timing of the food being done. I would recommend this place for drinks, but not for dinner.

Food was really good, and server was very friendly, but they're clearly understaffed and service was brutally slow. Dinner for 2 took nearly 3 hours, and that's including finally giving up on trying to pay with a card and just leaving cash on the table. Vibe in the restaurant was also just a bit off. All of the pictures and framed things on the wall were crooked, spelling errors on the chalk board our front, and incomplete decorating just made it feel half baked or like they ran out of time before opening. Would recommend for the food, as long as you're patient and not OCD

Lovely quiet evening. Wings were excellent. Happy hour until 6:30 a nice surprise. Branzino delicious, delicate, and enormous. Merguez pasta quite lovely. Service (Celene? I'm awful with names) was kind, attentive, helpful, and friendly. Manager also super attentive and welcoming. Learned about DJ brunch F/Sa/Sun which sounds fantastic, will definitely be back.

Amazing happy hour drinks with bestie. The food wasn’t my favorite, but we ordered wings, fries, and another dish I totally forgot about. I didn’t love the wings, but the fries were phenomenal
