Great way to spend a few hours catching up with friends. Party of 5, would have ordered a full meal at breakfast but the Churchill Room has a coffee table. We enjoyed croissants and crumpets. FYI - this place is across Lake Ponch if you are in New Orleans.

We’d had a reservation at noon and arrived around 15 mins early and were seated immediately. The menu was pretty extensive but I’d done some research. The tea selection was outstanding. We chose Midnight Rain and it was incredible. The food was wonderful. I had a tea service and enjoyed everything included. My husband had the bangers and mash. He said they could’ve used a tad more seasoning but were very good. The restaurant was very busy and my only complaint was that our server was not quite as attentive as the server at the table next to ours. We were very patient but would have loved to have been checked on a bit more and we did have to wait quite awhile on her to check in to get our bill. I would definitely go back!

My friends and I love The English Tea Room. The variety of teas are amazing, as are the sandwiches and soups. Such a lovely place to relax with friends! Madison is a terrific server. Such a sweet girl.

Overall wnderful experience due to the people and fun taking pictures and enjoying deserts. Tea’s were amazing, finger sandwiches good, all fried food…not good; crab cake and fried beef Wellington not fresh and hard. Seems we got forgotten about.. we waited a ling time and had to remind them we did not get our scones, then came out in a to go bag; then finally on a plate for us to eat; scones came out 40 minutes after sandwiches & deserts. Sooo not sure I will go back.

Always enjoy eating at the English Tea Room. I took my wife there for her birthday and Carrine and the staff made it a special time. The selection of teas makes it difficult to pick one or two, but they are all good. It has been a little chilly here in SouthEast Louisiana this week, so we also appreciated the food options - I had Bangers and Mash and my wife had Shepherd's Pie. Great comfort food on a special, chilly day.

We always have an absolutely lovely time at the English tea room. In the beginning of our meal, we were seated in the Britannia room next to the bathroom. One of the employees was cleaning it with a very, very strong chemical and had to prop the door open. The chemical was burning our eyes, and we had to request to be moved. Also, while sitting there, there were no less than 3 to 4 employees constantly talking and folding silverware at the table next to us. It’s a very difficult place to be seated in the restaurant. Thankfully, they were able to move us to the front of the restaurant where the experience was delightful! I think perhaps they should clean the bathrooms before the restaurant opens or when it closes. I think they also need to find a workstation to work at so that they’re not disturbing people having a meal or tea in that room.
