   Long story short it took forever getting our food and the restaurant was not busy at all. Our server bless her was stuck in the middle of kitchen and us but she was a rockstar.

   During our stay at Fair Oaks Farms as Harvest Host guests, we had the chance to dine at the Farmhouse Restaurant. The food was pleasant enough, though I wouldn’t label it fine dining, as they had advertised. I ordered the pork chop, paired with mashed potatoes and grilled Brussels sprouts. The pork was the star of the meal—perfectly cooked, juicy, and tender. However, the mashed potatoes were just okay and the portion left me wanting more. The Brussels sprouts, unfortunately, were over-charred, turning nearly black, as captured in my photo. My wife opted for the onion soup, but they’d melted a massive amount of cheese over the top, overwhelming the soup itself. She felt it was too much cheese, not enough broth. The Asian salad she chose to accompany it was a simple mix of shredded purple cabbage, sweet dressing, and toasted wonton wrappers, lacking any real complexity or fresh ingredients one might expect from such a dish. While the chop was fantastic, we left feeling that the other elements of the meal could have been better executed.

   Definitely not fine dining! No bread service as the bakery ran out, soup of the day changed from broccoli to mushroom with no notice, green beans ordered as a side to dinner served with appetizers (although our waitress did order a fresh dish when I made her aware of the issue), dining room is extremely loud and noisy, roasted chicken was really their fried chicken pieces baked. Overall a disappointing visit!

   We got there 5 minutes early for our reservation and they made us wait - even though there were empty tables and plenty of staff - until the exact reservation time. And the host was not the friendliest about it! 3 others showed up for their reservations too...all of us had to wait. So 4 couples seated at the same time...just not the best management. In addition, it took almost 1/2 hr to receive our brunch order... Also, the food was just so-so. The server made a mistake on what was ordered, but she quickly rectified it. The market and gift shop were lovely though.

   Amazing brunch! Website said reservations were strongly recommended but we went on a Sunday morning at 10:30am and there was no wait. Great services, good food, pretty decor.

    First time there. Had reservations was early and seated immediately. Servings are very generous. 2 people could easily share an entree. We were celebrating birthdays and brought complimentary ice cream and brownie. Definitely will return and put on our rotation for dinner dates.
