Neighborhood Favorite: Valentines Day is the busiest, the waiter said, "All Hands were On-Deck!" The food was Outstanding and the presentation was flawless. We continue to rave about the Fifth. In the future, however we will forgo the Valentines experience as a bit pricey.

We are regulars at The Fifth-it is one of our favorite restaurants-the service on this night is not reflective of what the norm is there. Our server was absolutely horrible. Literally pushed us out the door trying to turn the table. It took her an average of 20min to bring me my drink. I say MY drink because I bought a bottle of wine for my wife, as usual. Food was out of this world, they do an excellent job.

We were there on Valentine’s Day with a limited menu for $75 per person. It definitely would’ve been worth it had the food and service been better. The risotto was undercooked, providing a crunchy texture, which was not enjoyable with the Seabass. My husband’s steak was not seasoned well, while his crabcake was too salty. The server was OK at best, and she completely forgot about my request for coffee with my dessert. Luckily, I have been to this restaurant at other times and did not have a poor experience, so I’ll probably be back. But if this had been my first impression of them, I wouldn’t return.

The sandwich that I had was great, but the fries were not worth the up charge. Everything on this menu was very pricey and I’m not sure that it was worth the price point. The cocktails were worth the happy hour price, but not full price. It We are not in Dallas. It was also a very weird situation, as we seemed to have three waiters? So we never knew who our waiter was and who to flag down if we needed anything. We would tell one of them we needed something and then 5 minutes later a different person would ask if we needed anything. We would let them know that we let another person know we wanted an item and then it would be seemingly forgotten all together. It was just a really weird situation. I will also say the host was stand offish over the phone and in person. I would definitely come back and try more food, but I do think that their prices are too high for what they serve and the service was weird.

We ate at The Fifth for the first time, and we were very impressed with the service and food quality and flavor! I have some food allergies, and they immediately involved a manager. She advised me well and then worked with the kitchen staff to ensure everything was safe for me to eat. We will be back!
