Where do I begin — wow! First the ambience is absolutely amazing. We went on a Friday night at 630. The gentlemen playing the piano was incredibly talented. My daughter sat and listened to him forever. The service was outstanding and super attentive. We were shocked we had much of the restaurant to ourselves. The appetizers (ham and green pea risotto, tuna ceviche, and fried octopus) were delicious and honestly some of the best risotto I have had. The cocktails were perfectly prepared and a delight. I asked our server to recommend something for me and she came back with a rosemary Paloma that was next level. Our main dishes didn’t disappoint either. Each one was perfectly plated and tasted amazing, my slow cooked octopus was super tender, my daughters devoured the swordfish and both the curry and jerk chicken were some of the best on the island. You must try this spot — it will not disappoint.

Stunning Setting, Thoughtful Surprises, and Great Cocktails—But Food Could Improve Rating: 4.5/5 Date of Visit: March 13, 2025 We dined at Flying Fish Restaurant at Mount Cinnamon Hotel for my birthday celebration and had a lovely evening, highlighted by exceptional hospitality and a beautiful setting, though a few dishes missed the mark. The restaurant has a stylish, contemporary open-air design with views stretching over Grand Anse Bay toward the cruise ship port. While you won't catch the sunset here, the lighting and atmosphere are still breathtaking. The poolside courtyard gives the space a relaxed, upscale vibe. Kanilah, the restaurant supervisor, made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We happened to be there during the hotel’s Manager’s Cocktail Reception and were treated to complimentary drinks—a generous and classy surprise. The bartender was fantastic and introduced us to Black Gold nutmeg rum, which quickly became our new favourite. For appetizers, my husband had the beet salad. I had the Lambie fritters (conch), but they were disappointing—mostly dough and barely any conch inside. For mains, I had the daily fish with vegetables, which was simple but nicely cooked. My husband ordered the Guyanese pepperpot beef, which unfortunately was dry and lacked the authentic depth of Guyanese spice and flavour. Then came the highlight of the night: after our dessert, a surprise chocolate birthday cake arrived with a giant sparkler, with singing by the performers on the pool stage. Kanilah also gifted me a Polaroid photo and took lots of wonderful photos on my phone camera, too. It was such a sweet, personal touch that made the celebration feel truly special. We were intrigued by the new chef’s counter, which looked amazing. It's definitely on our list for our next visit—we’d love to try a more curated culinary experience there. Overall, kitchen could definitely improve, but warm attentive hospitality is on point! 4.5/5

I recently had an amazing experience at The Flying Fish Restaurant, Mount Cinnamon Resort. From the moment I stepped in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with soft lighting and tasteful decor that set the perfect mood for a delightful meal. The staff greeted me with genuine smiles and were attentive throughout my visit. They offered great recommendations from the menu and seemed genuinely passionate about the food they serve, which added to the overall experience. Thanks !

During our recent one week stay at Grand Anse beach, we dined at The Flying Fish. We stayed on the island several times and we dined at Mount Cinnamon, under a different restaurant name many times before. We were happy to see that the restaurant/pool area got a much-needed renovation. Service was superb and the food absolutely outstanding. Look at the million-dollar view from the balcony! The restaurant was well prepared for our gluten free diet, they brought g/f bread at our request. My husband had the Split Pea with Coconut Milk Soup for starter and the Guyanese Pepperpot as the entrée. I opted for the Trinidadian Curried Chicken, that was the best curried meal I have ever had in my life. Because I could not have the Puri Skin with the dish I ordered steamed vegetables on the side. For dessert we had the gorgeous Flourless Chocolate Cake. We loved the food soo much, we returned after a few days. This time my husband had the Callaloo Soup with smoked ham and Jamaican Jerk Spiced Chicken Thigh and I had to have the Trini Curried Chicken again. The restaurant had live music, a talented singer one night and an awesome piano player the other night during dinner. We both agreed that we cannot wait to return to this restaurant again next year.

We had a very tasty meal- lovely table on the balcony. Live entertainment with a grand piano playing beautiful background music. Our waiter and the front of house team were very attentive. It was one of the tastiest meals we’ve had this trip .

This restaurant was a really great surprise. We spent 3 days in the island and here we have the best dinner overall. In the background a beautiful lady singing by the pool, the service was very good, and the food, the food, the soup of the day, carrot, ginger and coconut was delicious and my dish in particular, Jamaican chicken (by the way I never ask for chicken in a restaurant) was the best chicken ever, so flavorful, it amazed me. Everyone at the table was very pleased with their food. If we return to Grenada, we’ll come back again!!

Made a reservation for Flying Fish and they booked us Instead for Savvys without notifying us as there is not even a dinner service at the Flying Fish on Fridays. They were extremely disorganized, didn't have a table for us and had to wait 30 minutes just for a drink. The food was lukewarm, like it had been sitting a hotbox, ordered the banana cabana with fudge pieces and brought two scoops of nutmeg ice cream with and insisted it was the same thing. Upon leaving, asked 4 times for them to call a cab and it took 40 minutes.
