   After randomly stumbling upon the folio bar and kitchen i was not disappointed. We booked early for a mothers day afternoon tea as we just moved locally and wanted to see if it was as lovely as it looked. Food and staff were fantastic and we will be back in the near future. Thank you.

   Food was nice - had the Mothers Day afternoon tea. Really beautiful sandwiches and scones but the cakes were a bit of a let down. Too many sweet to start with, panna cotta was a weird texture like too much gelatine. Macaroon and carrot cake were nice but the chocolate cake was a touch bitter. I would return for their ‘ normal’ menu as Im sure it will be nice. There is a lot of staff but not very attentive, we waited 10 minutes before anyone offered us a drink, 35 minutes before our afternoon tea came out, and had to ask if our drinks were coming and if the food was coming as there were only 3 tables in there (10 people - including us) nice atmosphere, very loud as its an atrium / orangery type setting with hard floors. There is NO information on how to pay for parking / validate tickets. I would suggest a sign in the car park / lift and stair well. Overall a positive first experience.

   We visited Folio bar and kitchen for Mother’s Day afternoon tea. The aesthetic in the restaurant was clean and felt very posh. It was late lunch on a Saturday so it wasn’t too busy. We were sat on a nice table with lots of space. The afternoon tea itself was really lovely, freshly made sweet and savoury treats! I really enjoyed the goats cheese and asparagus mini baguette! The scones were also freshly baked and still warm - an absolute delight! Our visit was made even more special by great service, all the servers were great, and Dolly made an extra effort to ensure we had a lovely visit. Would recommend!

   Attentive and welcoming waiting staff, enjoyed the ambience and decor. Fine selection of food which was served promptly. Great evening with friends we’ll definitely return

   We chose to eat at The Folio Bar & Restaurant to celebrate my son's 21st birthday. We booked many weeks in advance and in the run up to the booking the staff communicated regularly in order to plan the perfect celebration. When we arrived for our booking at 1pm there was just our table for 8 and a large table of about 20. Two waiting staff were available which soon became an issue as the restaurant filled up. We waited almost an hour for the bottle of prosecco we ordered to toast my son's birthday while perusing the menu. When the food did arrive my mother's starter and main course arrived 5-10 minutes after the rest. The plus point has to be the food which was definitely worth the wait. We couldn't fault it! And when we got to desserts thankfully more staff were available for the full restaurant so the dessert, candle and singing I organised for my son in advance of his big day was also worth the wait!

    Valentines Day set meal was beautiful. Two things that could have been better. The duck 4th course could have been hotter and the 5th course desert i expected a real desert not just some chocolates. Overall very good and would go again.
