   We didn't know what to expect going to The Franklin Room, but I will say it EXCEEDED our expectations. Our server was Anthony, and he was one of the best servers we have had in a VERY long time. The food was excellent and the drinks were superb! We had Lamb for an appetizer, which was perfectly cooked. I had the Chilean Sea Bass, and it was exquisite; my husband had the surf & turf (which wasn't on the menu but suggested by Anthony), and it too was absolute perfection. We cannot say enough about this establishment. If you are EVER in Chicago, this is a MUST! The ambiance, the service, the food... all absolutely perfection.

   The Franklin Room is a fabulous restaurant. I went with a pal in town from Melbourne, Australia. The atmosphere is very cool. The Franklin Room is 1 of those restaurants that flies under the radar. But if you know, you know. Drink options are fabulous. Whether you're drinking wine, cocktails, bourbon, scotch the options are top drawer. We ate the lamb chop appetizer which was cooked to perfection. The chicken roulade was again very well cooked. So much so that my pal finished the dish then told me how good it was. He did not share! I had the Spicy Bourbon Mussels, which as always are my favorite dish on the menu at The Franklin Room. A selection of amazing single malts washed down our meal. I highly recommend going to The Franklin Room. Book a table as the restaurant is small. Awesome!!

   We ordered the kale salad, lamb chops, sea bass, and prime ribeye. One of the best meals we’ve had in some time. Highly recommend any of these dishes, especially the ribeye. Tried both versions of their old fashioned’s. Tremendous! Service was just as good as the food. Very attentive and knowledgeable. Super personable, and you could tell he cared that we enjoyed our time at The Franklin Room. We will be back!

   The entrance is a small hole in the wall under the train line, then you descend the stairs into a true gem. Old Chicago meets trendy hipster vibes with amazing fresh culinary creations. The decor was simultaneously detailed, open and cozy. The wait staff were helpful and attentive without being intrusive. Even if you’re not a big whiskey fan, there’s so much to enjoy. Excellent cocktails and wine selection. We started with the steak tartar with a twist that rivaled any I’ve had in Paris. The Seabass melted in your mouth. The Scallops were cooked to perfection. This is on my revisit list 😊

   Great place with amazing food. The vibe was very energizing and cozy. Anthony is a great server!! We were impressed with the food. Scallops and chilean sea bass were delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant!

   Drinks were pricey but very good. The Chilean Seabass was excellent, and our ribeye was cooked perfectly. The lamb chops were tender and so flavorful. It's on the pricier side, but the meal and service were awesome.

    I loved my time at the Franklin room! Our server anthony was awesome!! The atmosphere was more quiet which was very nice and we had the wagyu steak tartare, miso salmon and truffled tortellini all were 10/10. They even gave us a dessert for our anniversary and it was amazing. It was a pavlova with a raspberry sorbet and more I am obsessed. Such great service too very happy with our time
