If you’re a guy and you’re hungry don’t order the Butchers steak. You get 5 little pieces of meat and some plantains that don’t taste like anything.

My husband and I grabbed a last minute Valentine’s Day reservation at the Franklin Room and had the best meal we’ve had in a long time. Seriously spectacular! The cocktails were delicious and the bartender was fantastic, but the food was the star of the night. We shared the steak tartare and spicy mussels, and devoured every bit. He had the pasta al pesce and I had the Bristol Bay scallops, and I just know I will be dreaming about the scallops for weeks.

Dan was awesome! We got the mussels, taro chips and crab cakes! All soooo good! We will definitely be back and sit in Dans’ section! He was so fun! Thank you!

Prefix menu for the “Chicago Restaurant week” was well designed and could accommodate a variety of tastes. Good choice of cocktails, beers and wines. A nice setup especially for couples or small groups. The only minor complaint is that the raw delicious tuna pieces were served in a bowl that was hard to get from with a knife and a fork. Either serve it on a plate or provide chopsticks.
