   The food had good flavor. Our group ordered tots, a smash burger, fried chicken sandwich, chicken wings, Cobb salad and a pretzel. The burger, wings and chicken sandwich were very messy. Not sure if I missed it on the menu, but items come a la cart. We ate the tots as an appetizer, because we didn’t know. Salad was delicious and a very generous portion. We finished the meal with the 7 layer coconut cake, and it was delicious! Music could be a few levels lower, so you don’t have to shout to the people you are out with.

   This place totally lived up to the hype. You can tell right away that it’s local in the best way—laid back, stylish without trying too hard, and full of people who seem to actually live nearby. The food was honestly excellent. Nothing gimmicky, just well-executed dishes with great ingredients. I had the smashburger and my wife got the brisket - everything was fresh, balanced, and came out hot. The space is beautiful. Lots of natural light, subtle garden elements, and thoughtful touches that make it feel calm and welcoming. The whole place is outside but it felt like the perfect mix of cozy and elegant. Service was friendly and on point—attentive without hovering. Everyone we interacted with seemed genuinely happy to be working there, which adds to the overall vibe. Definitely a spot we’ll return to. Great for a casual date night or a meal with friends. It just feels like a place that belongs here.

   Cool looking place in downtown Napa. I dislike feeling disappointed as soon as I walk through a door but we kind of were. Hostess wasn't super friendly, not unfriendly, but seemed bored. It was a quiet day only a few patrons in the restaurant and bar. Drinks and food were delicious. I wont go as far as to say the service was bad...it just wasn't good. A party of 4 spent almost $300 which comes to a hefty tip these days. I just felt the employees were unengaged and doing the bare minimum. Not sure we'll return even though food was really good. We had the smash burger and the ribeye French dip.

   The food was very good. My husband had the half chicken and I had the Shrimp Noodle bowl. Both were very tasty. Music was great. My only complaint is that I was not handed a bill. I was just asked to sign. It was not itemized. I feel my bill was very high. The waiter said he had to go. I was not happy.

   The meal was less than satisfactory. Our server was not welcoming at all. We were not presented with a printed copy of our bill before paying and only afterwards did we find out that we were charged for a kitchen appreciation charge of 3% before tax. included before tip. I would not recommend.

   This is the fourth and last time we will go to The Garden. Every time we have been there the food is great, bands great, but the service is rude and unresponsive. We had made a reservation for a party of 8 o come and enjoy the live music. The first hostess was rude and wouldn't listen when we asked if we could get a table further away from the stage since we had small children. I asked a second hostess and she was more than happy to accommodate. I felt sorry for her as her shirt caught one of our drinks and it broke. She was very empathetic and apologized. Not necessary but appreciated. The rest of the night the servicing staff couldn't be bothered by our orders or requests for additional drinks or dessert. They should honestly have the management's friends come in and experience this lack of service. The wait staff, when they did come to take your order, would just turn and walk away before we were done ordering for everyone at the table. We had to call them back a few times to complete our orders. I honestly felt like we are at Dick's Last Resort each time we have been at this establishment. Very disappointing that this is the service we get, no matter if it's a busy night or a lunch in the middle of the week.

   They tried to charge us $20 to get in. We just came in for a drink and some dessert. So they let us in without the cover charge. It's just a local band. We are not about to pay a cover charge for a local band. We love live music and we attend a lot of shows but this was way too loud. Could not talk with your friends at all. Also, the heaters were blasting down on all the tables along the sides. Everyone was complaining. Will also be better if they could rearrange those side tables so that both sides could see the band. Half of your group is facing the other way. Otherwise, it could be a great venue with little fixing Little Things like these.

    They had 2 servers for the entire restaurant. We had a reservation (made 2 weeks in advance) for a large party of 16. It took 40 minutes for our server to take our order. The food did come out fast, but the server ignored our requests for refills, additional beer etc. He was absolutely aloof and never acknowledged the situation at all. He completely took advantage of the automatic 20 percent gratuity added to the check. If this was the way we were going to be treated, then just don’t take a reservation for a party if this size.
