Second visit to this restaurant as first visit was good apart from the meat which couldn't be cut. Tried again as the restaurant is in a nice setting and the staff were very courteous. I booked up with open table again and had the usual reminder about the booking. Arrived at the restaurant and was told that I didn't have a booking. I showed them my booking for 1 pm and they said we could wait until 2:30 or be seated in the restaurant downstairs. We were not happy but eventually they made room for us in the restaurant, which had lots of empty tables. The food was only warm again and the beef and lamb could be cut properly as it was on our first visit. I did mention it and the manager said he would tell the boss when he came in the next day. Unfortunately we will not be going back again.

We had never been before and saw it on Groupon. The welcome was very nice and the food was good apart from my beef which was almost raw and I couldn't even cut it with the steak knife so I had to leave the meat. A person who appeared to be the manager came and said to us " the food is good isn't it" I said yes apart from my meat which I can't eat, he turned and walked away, which we all thought was very rude. I found this really strange as why would you ask a question and then walk off. I gifted another a Groupon to family and am worried that the meat will not be cooked properly. Apart from this problem we enjoyed ourselves.

Five of us are here and the staff looked after us really well, despite the rest of the restaurant being fully booked to a large Xmas party. The burgers are extremely tasty and more reasonable value than the steaks. Two of our party shared the 26oz Chateaubriand steak but they didn't think it was as special as they had anticipated! Nice decor too.

Went for dinner on a Sunday night .Quite quiet evening,steaks were very good as was the sea bass. chose the sauté potatoes as a healthy option to chips, ok, but should of had chips. White savingion wine by the glass was not that good.However the meal was overall very good and enjoyed by all

Had the mixed grill although the food was well cooked I was disappointed with the contents a piece of steak flat bit of chicken and chicken wings.where was the sausage the chop the egg the mushrooms . And who has chicken wings on a mixed grill

I met relatives here for lunch . It was quiet and only a few guests. We had lunch including starter, main and desert. The weather was sunny and the view of the water was lovely. A few massive ships passed by which was fun. The food was fine but not outstanding. We had burger mains. The burgers were ok, fries seemed to be frozen, salad was the usual English lettuce, cucumber and toms. The service is very cheery & good, the building is special. The building and water front location are the main reasons I chose this venue. I would come here again for lunch, especially when the weather is sunny, but not for an evening meal out as the food is not special enough.

A lovely meal, lots of choice (if like steak!)... cooked to perfection and worth cost. A great setting for special occasions or a quiet romantic evening.
