Had a really poor experience after a recommendation to eat here. The service was awful. On every occasion we had to ask someone to take an order for food or drinks. We were never asked how the meal was or did we need any drinks or desert. The toilets were filthy with a mouse trap at the bottom of the stairs before entering the toilet. Our table was never cleared of the dirty plates or glasses. The food was fine, but nothing special! We will not be returning.

I had a very tasty burger, my husband had a pizza which he also enjoyed. Nice staff too.

Really cute place with charming decor. Very quiet because there were very few customers on a Wednesday night at 6pm. Our food (chicken, leek and cheddar pie with mashed potato and broccoli, and chicken penne) was delicious and the portions were generous. I think our server might have been new; he was very friendly, but seemed a little confused.

What a lovely time we had here, the service was impeccable but I was disappointed that I wasn’t able to tip the servers via card transaction, in the year 2024 it’s a bit of a disservice to hard working staff that they could lose out on tips due to no mechanism for tipping via this method, would be good to see this implemented.

The food was very good but the lights in the bathroom werent working it was dark apart from that we enjoy it

Really enjoyed our meal yesterday. Had the hot smoked salmon salad and it was lovely, plus had the stewed rhubarb and passion fruit Eton mess which was amazing - who thought of that combo?! Service was warm and friendly. Only slight let down was the state of the toilets - no loo roll, mouldy soap dispenser and wallpaper hanging off wall on way down stairs.

Great food, fantastic value for money. The pork, cranberry and brie sausage roll - beautiful. Nice sized portion -maybe didn't need the salad. Rhubarb and passion fruit Eton mess - one of the best every desserts.
