   Our Christmas party at The Globe Hotel Albury was, unfortunately, a letdown. From the moment we arrived, things didn’t go as planned. Despite having a booking, our table wasn’t ready, leaving our group standing around and waiting to get settled. The service at the bar was frustratingly slow. Even with a modest crowd, it took an unreasonably long time to get drinks, and the staff seemed flustered and disorganized. The food was another disappointment. The steaks, which were advertised as 300g, were clearly smaller and not worth the high price. We expected better quality and value for a venue like this. Adding to the unpleasant experience was the inappropriate attire of some other patrons. It was hard to enjoy our meal with so many people wearing dresses that appeared three sizes too small, resulting in far too many “half moons” on display. This lack of decorum was distracting and detracted from the festive atmosphere we’d hoped for. Overall, our Christmas party experience at The Globe Hotel fell short. While we understand that holiday events can be busy, basic standards of preparation, service, and atmosphere should still be maintained. Hopefully, these issues can be addressed to improve future experiences.

   How whole experience was most enjoyable, the service was amazing, the food was excellent and we will definitely be going back again soon

   We had a good meal, the swordfish was well cooked and the chicken schnitzel was good. It was a busy Saturday night, and they were short staffed, so our friendly waitress apologised for forgetting to bring our drinks.

   A fantastic dinner with great entrees of haloumi and chicken bites and delicious mains of swordfish. The service was attentive professional and friendly.

   Very nice, waiter was under the pump in dining area. Fish serve was very small for the price. Otherwise very good .

   Fabulous waiter, place looks lovely inside. Meal was dreadful! $30 for a burnt hamburger! Never again. When mentioning this when we paid response was, “I’ll tell the chef!” Very disappointing.

   Food was great. Dining area quite squashed up the back and bar staff we flat out making cocktails so service was very slow at the bar.

   The Globe has been recently renovated and reopened. Very nice fittings and layout with comfortable seating. Service was very friendly and professional. We were a group of 4 and we all enjoyed our meals. Good prices. Definitely would recommend and we will all be back.

    Atmosphere was very nice. We ordered the skull island prawns for entree and found it extremely difficult to extract the prawn meat from the shells. Both scotch fillet steaks were very tough and chewy but the sides (chips, salad and mushroom gravy) were very tasty. Margarita cocktail was very well made. We let the waitress know about the tough chewy steak and she informed us that other diners have had the same problem.
