Located in Lincoln Square's unique Rockwell Corridor, The Green Post (No. 49) is a testament to the centuries-old traditions and evolution of the Public House. Our aspiration is to offer guests a home outside of theirs; a place to meet with friends, host a meeting, read a book, play a game, work remotely, or watch a match amongst the historical architecture of our three rooms with additional garden spaces.

Great overall experience. Little Gem salad and the burger were delicious.

This place is so cozy and the staff was really fun. Service was killer! The menu for brunch had a lot of great options and the corned beef hash was delish. Can’t wait to go back for dinner. New favorite spot

First, let me say the staff was wonderful. EVERYONE -- from the greeters, bartenders, runners and wait staff -- was very polite and attentive on a busy evening. At my request, because of my poor hearing, we were sat in a little alcove that was very cozy, although it was a very cold night and there was quite a draft through the adjacent window. Our server, Braden (sp?), was great -- stopping by often to check on us. There are two parts to the establishment, one is the pub and one the dining room. The pub was fun a lively, albeit pretty loud with Irish music. The dining room was pleasant, although there was a work dinner/meeting nearby (in a room separated by shutters) that was very loud (that group really should have taken it somewhere more private if they were going to be so lively). I had an old fashioned that was great, followed by a couple malty ales, that were nice. My daughter had a nice cocktail made from Koval's cranberry gin, lemon tonic and rosemary -- it was delicious, I tasted it. We shared curry meatballs that were great. I had the 16-spice chickpea stew with naan and chicken. The stew was fantastic, the chicken and naan had been a little oversalted. My daughter's cottage pie was also good, but again, a little salty. All in all, a great place and great experience. Would not hesitate to recommend it!

Menu is British pub themed- staff was taken aback when my friend asked for egg whites. She didn’t handle the request great and had a hard time record g. The food was fine. Loved the tea options . A little too loud for a Saturday morning.

Simply put, the food was excellent, the drinks were sub-par, the ambiance was really interesting and fun to be immersed in (though deceiving and somewhat different than on socials)

A genuine pub with excellent food and drinks. The staff is friendly and helpful and the ambience is exactly what you are looking for in a pub - lots of wood, comfortable tables and booths, and conversational noise in the background - not blaring music or tv screens. Excellent crispy, not greasy fish and chips with a tasty aioli and curry sauce in addition to the standard tartar sauce. Wonderful gin cocktails.
