   Took an Indian friend to lunch here. He found a varied vegetarian choice and enjoyed beetroot falafel bagette, fries and salad We had cod and chips and beef ale pie. All were delicous Service was very attentive,staff were wonderfully social without being imposing. They also engaged with other diners to the same level as far as I observed. A little wait for food but then it was piping hot and fresh. Homemade pie was huge so I ended up taking half home where I enjoyed it a second time. The icing on the cake for our friend was sending photos of the setting to his family in India.

   Great Sunday lunch in one of the inn’s cosy bars. Good food and wine, great service - not rushed or slow. Greyhound has always been good and great to see it’s still up to standard!

   Was looking for a quaint, rustic setting for a romantic meal and requested a secluded table for two. Not visited this pub in years. Outside it’s very pretty and staff friendly on arrival . Unfortunately we weren’t placed in a secluded spot though in a busy room of the pub with the top lights on so quiet bright. I believe the romantic corners of the pub did exist and the table service was very slow. Took a long time for starters to come and even longer for mains. The food was nice but I requested a veggie spicy bean burger as I’m veggie. We waited a long time for this to arrive and when it did it had a smell of meat. I luckily didn’t bite into it as it was a beef burger when I queried and the staff checked with the chef. They apologised and gave us a free drink but it wasn’t the best service. Disappointing evening unfortunately. Not likely to return.

   By far our favourite pub! Always welcoming. Always great service. Always a wide range of delicious food. Always great beer. And always dog friendly. Recommended without hesitation. Consistently first class.

   We had a wonderful time today and we will be back very shortly. We have been friends for over 40 years and now live about 90 mins apart so The Greyhound is pretty much equidistant for us to meet up and enjoy lunch together. From the moment we arrived everything was so welcoming, we were warmly greeted and at no point did we feel rushed. Food choices were astonishingly varied for a lunchtime and we all chose a different dish, every one of us thought the food was delicious, good sized portions and clearly home made. We are very much looking forwards to many returns to work our way through the menu options!
