Well as always we have always had amazing food and service here at the Grill, and this time was no exception. The hospitality from the hosting staff was so warm and welcoming and helped us do a little surprise party for my sister and nephew. Chase our waiter was equally amazing as was our food. The kindness and friendliness helped make our occasion extra special and we can’t thank everyone enough. This one of the many reason we continue to frequent your restaurant. Thank you once again for helping make our visit fun and special.

Beautiful place. Lovely host & server. Food was sub par & over priced. Ribs were fatty and tough. Crab cake lacked seasoning. Burger was good. Fries were delicious. I don’t love fries being a highlight, but it’s accurate. Probably wouldn’t return but the vibes were solid — just not the food.

This was our fifth visit to The Grill and we realized about halfway through the meal that it's one of our favorite restaurants in the city. "Realized" because I think The Grill is overshadowed by some of the flashier restaurants in District Wharf (many of which I've also eaten at), and it might be an afterthought for some people. The food is well-executed, the wine and cocktail list is decent, service is excellent, and the ambiance is pleasant (if a bit spare). The lobster rolls are superlative--it's difficult to consider eating anything else but what I've had has always been delicious. It's nice that the tables are not jammed in next to each other. I also like the diversity of the crowd, which is everything from singles at the bar to couples, to families and parties--all ages and ethnicities are represented. Our server, Luis H., was outstanding--attentive but not obtrusive, and I wish he was our server at The Grill every time. The staff even let me stow my scooter behind the reception desk while we were dining! We will definitely return to The Grill again and again.

The Grill We had two of the best meals we’ve ever had at The Grill, DC. Not only is the restaurant beautiful but the food is spectacularly delicious and beautifully presented. Service is perfect. In addition to all that we found all waitstaff friendly and wanting to make sure we were happy with everything. The manager, Destiny, was amazing: so warm and positive and came over to talk to us. Then she told the amazing chef, David Suarez, how much we loved our food. Our grandson said it was one of the best meals of his life and the best salmon he’d ever had. So chef Dave came out to talk to him and to us. We lived it so much we went back the next night and every staff member extended themselves to us, including Destiny and Chef Dave, again. We can’t wait to go back! One of the most special dining experiences we’ve ever had!!

Had a wonderful dinner for our families. Food choices were excellent and delicious. Salmon was a nice size, enjoyed roasted sweet potatoes, Brussel sprouts, hamburgers, salad, flourless chocolate cake, key lime, lemonade and drinks. Also has a very good Happy Hour.

Definitely not worth it for us. Was pretty clear that we would be sharing meals, they understood. Instead of plating it for us we had to divide the meals ourselves, they can have better service.
