The Grounds Restaurant within the St. Croix National Golf Course in Somerset, Wisconsin, offers a Northern Woods feel, open all year, (closed on Mondays during winter only). A relaxed atmosphere with scenic views of the valleys and the golf course offering 4 golf simulators, pool table, darts and more. Recently, The Grounds was awarded the top 25 Best Patios from Pioneer Press.
The menu is diverse with classic American fare, specializing in artisanal wood-fired pizzas, salads, Smashburger, Pasta, Walleye and Fish Frydays. Dishes are crafted with fresh, locally sourced ingredients for the best flavor and health.
Brunch is served every Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 2 PM, guests can enjoy a curated brunch menu featuring dishes like lemon ricotta pancakes and savory eggs Benedict and Huevos Rancheros Pizza.

Food was excellent, staff was very friendly and accommodating. I do believe they were a bit understaffed for the evening but that would be my only concern

I love this place! On one of my visits I met some friends for Sunday breakfast and the menu doesn’t have vegan options (for breakfast), but the manager made up a breakfast hash that was incredibly! Very impressive!

The fish fry was very good. And, the Thai Chicken Pizza was excellent. The Blueberry Martini was delicious. Marissa was our server, and she did a great job. Everyone was very friendly. We will definitely be back. Maybe this time we will try the Simulator?

Beautiful new building completed in 2024. Nice view of golf course through big windows or from the deck. Great food. Salad was better than average and wood fired pizza was very tasty.

Gorgeous September Saturday evening dined on the patio. Customer service was top notch! Menu has something for everyone. Food was great. Ambience was great. A wonderful place to visit.

Absolutely gorgeous outside seating! Beautiful views of the golf course. There are several decks that are tiered. You can sit under a covering or in the open; there is counter-like seating overlooking the course as well. Our meals were all great as well! We are definitely coming back!
