Our vision for The Grumpy Rabbit is to serve both Lonoke residents as well as people from surrounding communities and visitors passing through town. We want Lonoke to thrive and be prosperous and believe that leading by example and running a successful business will attract others to the area and inspire similar investment. Our hope for The Grumpy Rabbit is that as an anchor for revitalization, it will become a central location that draws foot traffic to historic downtown Lonoke. Additionally, as we employ both full-time and part-time staff, we are excited to bring new families to Lonoke, and know they will love the area as much as we do!

Very enjoyable atmosphere with prompt and polite service. Meal was flavorful, well prepared and worth every bite. Definitely recommend The Grump Rabbit if you want fine local cuisine and need a break from the city.

Our first visit for their Valentine's Day special dinner. Reservation at 7 pm and seated promptly. pre-fixed menu and we each ordered the opposite from one another for all three courses so we could try everything offered. Unfortunately, at least three tables seated after us were served ahead of us. If not stopping our waiter and then a waitress and asking about our meal, we probably would have had to wait even longer than the 45 minutes just to get the appetizers served. Once they figured out our table had been neglected, the service improved somewhat but, as we noticed, at the expense of other tables around us. A pre-set, three course menu shouldn't make for a two hour dining experience. The restaurant is VERY bright with LED lighting. Great diner atmosphere but not a 'romantic' evening spot. The food quality was as advertised. Spinach salad looked hastily put together (which could have been a result of wait time) while the grilled oysters had a fantastic flavor but too many shell parts still in the soupy, cheesy mix. Halibut entree with bacon risotto and broccolini was outstanding. The filet, while cut in the shape of a heart with a demi-glaze tasted wonderful and was cooked as ordered (medium -) the meat quality (tenderness) left a bit to be desired. The sweet potato medallions and sautéed vegetables were delicious. The lobster tail served with the filet had obviously been prepared well in advance and was very dry and crusty but still tasted good with the drawn butter. The tiramisu was great while the chocolate cake was a bit dried out but the raspberry creme saved it. Overall, a great value for the three courses at $75 each ++. I'm sure they'll do better in the future and I hope they do. They just seemed a bit overwhelmed last night. Great place and worth the drive if you're not from Lonoke.

Stephanie was a great waitress! The food was on point. Fried shrimp was excellent as well as the Gouda Mac n Cheese with chicken. The owner clearly takes pride in his establishment as he was visiting with every customer in there. Highly recommend.

Absolutely a wonderful experience. We love sitting upstairs for a more eclectic vibe but downstairs is amazing as well. If you like a fruity cocktails I highly recommend the “Haley Punch.” Always inquire about the chef’s specials. The Wagu special was amazing. A few of my favorites are the Grumpy burger, the chicken fettuccine and the meatloaf can feed 2 people easily. This is a great place to visit for brunch as well. Stop by and enjoy a wonderful meal in an amazing fully renovated historic building.

Food and service were excellent. The owner was nice and thanked for coming to their small town to dine. We drove about 30 minutes to get to the restaurant and it was well worth the drive. We will be going back!

NY Strips we ordered were so fatty I thought they were ribeyes (which we don’t prefer). Staff was excellent and nice atmosphere, but expected better food for the cost incurred.
