As a quick note to customers we would like to inform you that all of our reservable outdoor tables are under cover and have heating. Also standard seating is indoor seating.
Proprietor Nicholas Drillsma and partner Sandy Barton have built an enviable reputation over the past 28 years in producing the highest quality, locally sourced food, complimented by an extensive wine list.

    Fabulous lunch today. The food and service were outstanding. Not rushed in the slightest but attentive staff and perfect timing between courses and drinks. Definitely try the mince pie gin and ginger ale. It's delicious!

    We enjoyed a truly outstanding lunch today at this warm, cosy, unpretentious old country pub and what a treat it was. A genuinely friendly welcome, really prompt table service for drinks and a varied and creative menu. We had creamy smokey haddock and cod and chips and at last, a chef who knows how to coat fish with a delicate batter! Good choice of Harveys ales and a great atmosphere contributed to making this one of the most enjoyable lunches we have had for many years. Highly recommended. We shall be back soon.

    Delicious food. Mushroom ragu (starter) would have made a perfect vegetarian main course with some greens on the side. (Everyone gives vegetarian’s risotto). Having said that I chose the beetroot and goat’s cheese tatin as main which was delicious. Hub enjoyed the beef bourginon -very tender.

    It was a rained off walk today so we immediately decided to go to the Hatch Inn. There was eight of us attending and we all enjoyed the food that was served. There service is always excellent at this inn. We have a mixture of vegetarian and non vegetarian in our group and the Hatch was able to please all.
