   Fantastic Christmas Day meal out with the family Food was tasty and hot, service was just at the right pace for each course as the portions are great value for money! Noise level was just right with lots of Christmas atmosphere All the team were amazing and really went the extra mile accommodating every one We’ll be back

   Brilliant 🤩 from arrival we were greeted with brilliant service right until the end of our outstanding meal. The meal itself was fresh and plentiful would well out do any hotel food. Atmosphere was also brilliant all ages. Thank you to the brilliant staff for making our visit so memorable⭐️ we will definitely be using the hen house again

   1st time having Sunday lunch,must say the portions on the 3 meat option was very generous. If I had to knit pick, the plates were luke warm, but the food was hot, so halfway through the meal, the food got slightly cold. Also no sauce choices available or mustard or apple sauce or horseradish. Staff were great , very efficient and friendly. We will be using the Hen House again in the near future.

   Not very impressed. Looked good on the website when booking a table for food. When I got there I said I had a reservation but the bar person said just sit anywhere, what was the point in booking. Menu was basic pub food so went safe with Fish & chips. When I went to the bar and asked to order food the bar person said "hang on let me check with the kitchen if they are serving"! I booked a table for food so why shouldn't they be serving! Food came out and although a decent portion both the fish and chips were overcooked. Not so bad that it was inedible but a basic meal like that should be easy to perfect. Haven't been for a couple of years and I doubt if I will go back soon.

   First visit to try Sunday lunch. Food arrived approx 30 mins after ordering, which was fine a sit arrived piping hot with huge portions of meat. All veg Yorkie gravy were lovely. Downside we didn't get cutlery before our meal arrived so had to wait for cutlery after food came. Then they had no Apple and Mint sauce.

   Great pub food, well above average and a very tasty Sunday roast that was possibly the best we'd had for some time whilst eating out !!. Would have been rated 'Very Good' if the dining area was warmer .. It's an old building so with UK changing weather possibly hard to get it right ... but more warmth guys !!! :) A very good Town pub ... that like others needs support to keep them going, so I'll be back again very soon :)

    Firstly Sunday dinner was lovely even my mom and dad were happy! That says something when we eat somewhere new. Table was a little sticky but that could have been what the table was wiped with. Service was fine. Smells of spilt beer but I guess you get that in a pub, overall good experience was had by all. We will be back!
