   Excellent food but very rushed service with far too fast course overlap made it difficult to enjoy the meal and conversation with my guest.

   The food was amazing and the staff was very attentive- definitely a place I will come back to when in the area. The steaks were cooked to perfection- my wife had well done and mine was medium- thick steaks served hot and perfect! Can’t say enough about the experience.

   My husband and I visited for our second anniversary. Service was great when our server came to the table, however once we ordered, service was scarce. We placed a drink order first, which came back in a timely manner. Then we ordered an appetizer—the praline chicken and smoked beer cheddar pimiento cheese. Its description is “fried chicken skins tossed in praline sauce with house smoked cheddar pimiento cheese”…the cheese was good, but rather than fried chicken skins as advertised, it was a pre-breaded, frozen chicken fillet fried and cut into pieces. Definitely not what was advertised and not a $17 appetizer. When the app was delivered, we ordered entrees. My husband ordered the 20oz ribeye, asparagus, and the shrimp and crawfish baked potato ($50, and the taste was good, but it was not 20oz..maybe 16oz at best). I ordered the 8oz filet mignon, maple glazed Brussels sprouts, and the sea salt baked potato—the sides were good, but the filet was actually a sirloin cut. It was not tender nor was it easy to cut as a filet should be. Very tough and they’re charging $42 for this…had it been an actual filet mignon, the price would be justified as this is considered an upscale restaurant. We waited 40 min or so for the entrees to arrive, during which time our server came and told us that there was a mix up and that was why it was taking so long. He also said that they would give us a free dessert to make up for it. This was unprompted, but appreciated. The ambience was nice, the singer at the outside bar was audible inside and sounded great. It’s downtown and close to bars and other fun places. Overall I just wouldn’t recommend based on the quality of the food. It’s very overpriced for what you’re getting. The menu can also be misleading, so be careful to ask about a dish before ordering. I feel that $170 is steep for the quality of the meal. And I would’ve happily paid this price or more if we had gotten the food that was advertised on the menu.

   My wife and I celebrated our Wedding Aniversay there last night. The service was excellent and we were really surprised with the aniversary dessert they provided us. Only a few drawbacks: 1. Had to park far away but we expect that issue in downtown Montgomery. 2. Condiments such as butter, sour cream and pimento cheese spread were hard and cold. They need to find a way to soften them. Bread rolls looked to be store bought and nothing special. Lasty, the place is kinda pricey so be prepared. Overall the positives outweighed the negatives and we had a wonderful experience.

   I got a steak 🥩 look good, but when I cut into it wash room temperature. The bite I cut to taste I told the server and she took it back and all they did was put it on the grill for a bit. That is poor service putting something on the grill I took a bite cooking with other peoples food. My wife tomahawk pork chop was good. Overall disappointing. Pricey food you expect quality…
