   Not sure what happened, this is our second time here. The first visit was outstanding. Tonight the entree was not up to par. I had the blacken red drum. It had a very strong fishing taste, believe it must have been old. Brussels sprouts were over cooked and greasy and rice was mushy. Appetizer, salad and dessert were great but the entree ruined the evening.

   Everything was amazing!! Shaun was my server and she did a great job making sure I was taken care of and happy. The food was excellent, and the vibe was very friendly!

   Appetizer oysters described as "plump and juicy" from Buxbury Mass were nearly invisible. Flat iron steak was perfectly medium rare but sauce and accompaniments were skimpy. Desserts were large and delicious. Service was friendly and excellent.

   We stayed at The George and dined at The Independent for my wife’s birthday. The food was exquisite. The only complaint I have is that apps/soup and salad and entree all arrived at the same time. Our server (I don’t recall her name) told us she was fairly new and was her first job in fine dining. Hey, we’re all new at some point. What a phenomenal personality she had and her energy was infectious. Made the food arriving at the same time so minimal. Can’t wait to come back again soon!

   We’ve had several great meals here. Tonight was an off-night. Flank steaks were very undercooked. Service was great as usual.
